Early this afternoon, August 12, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake rattled Los Angeles. One RVer says he was inside his rig when the L.A. quake hit. Here are Michael Corrothers’ observations, as posted on Facebook.
“I was inside of my RV reclining on the couch, when I begin to feel swaying inside my RV. At first I thought it was my imagination or maybe I was having a dizzy spell. Then the swaying intensified, at exactly 12:20 p.m. PST on my phone.
“I have a five gallon water jug on one of my countertops and noticed that the water inside was beginning to move back and forth a little stronger each time. I then realized it was an earthquake. Not a very strong earthquake. But nonetheless an earthquake.”
We wondered just how many RVers felt the L.A. quake.
Did you feel the L.A. quake hit?
While preliminary news reports say there wasn’t much damage from the shaker, it was enough to startle folks. How about you? Were you and your RV shaken by the quake? We’d like to hear back from you if you have. Email us: Russ atsign rvtravel.com

Thank you, Russ and Tina! 🙂 Nope, felt nothing here in East Tennessee, on the other side of the country. Good luck collecting observations for a story! 🙂 Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
