In the video below, join Matt and Andrea of Matt’s RV Reviews, one of our readers’ favorite RV YouTube channels, for a tour of the 2024 Holiday Rambler 29M, a Class A motorhome that Matt says is really going to appeal to the football fans, NASCAR fans, or anyone else who loves tailgate parties.
Why does Matt say this Class A motorhome is perfect for tailgaters? Because it’s under 30 feet in length and has an awesome outdoor kitchen. (Disclaimer: Even though it says 29 in the name, Holiday Rambler lists the actual length as 31 feet.)
When it comes to tailgate parties or any other kind of outdoor entertaining, this coach was made for it. Of course, so many nice outdoor features expand your overall living space. These include a big-screen outdoor TV and outdoor speakers. However, the outdoor kitchen is the real star of the show.
When it comes to outdoor kitchens, some RV manufacturers put in an outdoor propane quick connect and call it a day. Not so with the Holiday Rambler Admiral 29M. This outdoor kitchen has counter space and includes a fridge, sink, microwave, cabinets, lots of storage space, and the aforementioned propane quick connect.
In the video, we first see the interior with the slide in. It impresses as there is still a reasonably wide walkway that allows you to access the entire coach. Once the slides are out, the interior becomes downright spacious.
I like the pedestal table that can be set up between the driver and passenger seats, as I can see any number of situations where that would be handy to have. And speaking of the passenger seat, this has to be one of the best and most functional I have ever seen. Not only does it feature a pull-out workstation desk and drawer, but there is also a doggy window at the feet, and storage cabinets and cubbies overhead. Of course, the cockpit seats also swivel to become part of the living space. A drop-down Hide-a-Loft bed that holds up to 500 pounds completes this area.
A comfortable jackknife sofa in the living area converts to another bed, as does the dinette.
The kitchen has a lot of counter space and storage. While I like the look of the frosted glass kitchen cabinet fronts when empty, I am not sure they would look all that great after cramming the cabinets to the gills with dishes and pantry items. Appliances include a microwave oven, 3-burner Dometic cooktop, oven, and Insignia compressor refrigerator.
The large size of the bathroom surprised me. Plenty of cabinets fill the walls, and the roomy shower has respectable head space. Matt’s a big guy and the toilet position and room accommodated him.
You’ll fall asleep on a king-sized bed. Tons of closet space, both hanging wardrobe and large drawers, fill the bedroom. More storage resides under the bed. Built-in bedside tables to power outlets can hold a CPAP machine or other essentials.

What’s not to like?
As usual, Matt and Andrea include three things they like and dislike. Their three dislikes were:
#1: The door to get into the generator is a pain in the rear to open and close, and Matt wishes for just a regular latching door.
#2: The shower has a BIG step up to get into it. (I have to say this doesn’t personally bother me in the least.)
#3: Matt and Andrea were split on the living room TV placement. Andrea cited it as one of her likes, Matt cited it as one of his dislikes. I’m with Andrea. I think as long as it swivels into an optimum position, and it does, it doesn’t bother me at all. Also, having it off to the side allows you to enjoy the views out of the large picture window. Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
I have a few more bones to pick beyond what Matt and Andrea noticed.
No storage under the dinette seems wasteful unless there are electronics and plumbing under there, but that does not seem to be the case. Also, the single round kitchen sink seems way too small for this motorhome. (You can tell I cook in my RV as I am frequently bemoaning small sink sizes.)

Thank you, Cheri! I agree that this is great for tailgating or other occasional use. The gasoline engine indicates this is not built for heavy use. A large block of wood or box can address the large step down from the shower with wet, slippery feet, or the step into a wet, slippery shower floor. Matt’s schtick is polarizing. I happen to enjoy it, but others do not. Have a great week, Cheri, and safe travels!
