Blue Compass RV has expanded its footprint by acquiring two Airstream dealerships in New England, bringing its total number of Airstream locations to 12. The company has acquired Airstream of New Hampshire in Nashua and Airstream of Maine in Lebanon.
This expansion strengthens Blue Compass RV’s ability to offer comprehensive sales and service to Airstream enthusiasts across the region.
Jon Ferrando, founder, president, and CEO of Blue Compass RV, commented, “This acquisition underscores our continued growth and reinforces our position as the leading Airstream dealer globally. With these new locations in Maine and New Hampshire, we are even better equipped to provide top-tier Airstream sales and service experiences nationwide.”
Airstream of Maine features a spacious 32,000-square-foot indoor showroom situated on a 14-acre property, allowing ample space for inventory and service. Airstream of New Hampshire, located near the Massachusetts border in Nashua, offers convenient access to customers in both New Hampshire and surrounding areas.
Blue Compass RV now operates 12 Airstream dealerships across the U.S., including in Tampa, Austin, and San Diego. Nine of these locations hold the prestigious “Five Rivet” status. In total, Blue Compass operates more than 100 RV dealerships, offering a wide selection of new and pre-owned vehicles along with premium services.

Waiting for the inevitable “it’s all corporate greed” comment. 😉
🤣🤣🤣 Yep! Or, they are the ones that got the largest tax break in history!! 🤣🤣🤣
🤣😂🤣🫠
We will never step foot in a Blue Compass owned dealership again. Visited the one in Des Moines, IA last spring and have never experienced such rude and completely arrogant treatment anywhere else in decades of RV buying. In their minds, they were doing us a favor by being there and putting up with us looking at new motorhomes. Clearly they were in denial and thinking it was still the “covid era” where they ran the show selling to desperate buyers.
Airstream needs to be careful. A few huge dealerships could exert control over AS.
This saddens me. Airstream has always been an iconic American brand that stands for quality. Now they are owned by Thor and Blue Compass is acquiring more dealerships, it appears Airstream is on its way down the tubes. Sad.
Someone needs to do an in-depth investigation about Blue Compass. It will destroy the RV industry with corporate greed, poor service, employees who don’t care, and a haughty attitude toward customers. I will never ever buy from them. . Absolutely the worst dealership ever in over 40 years of RVing. Blue Dog, one of their buyouts, is just as bad. So if this faltering industry continues with the mega dealerships with all the BS, buying all the Mom and Pop dealerships, just like Lippert bought out all the good suppliers and shipped product to China, these dealerships will not survive with the high interest rates, $175 an hour service, etc.
Thank you for the news, RV Travel! Happy new year!
