Grilled C.A.T. Sandwich
by Cindy Rice from Springfield, VT
This grilled C.A.T. sandwich is not your ordinary tuna salad sandwich. If you don’t like tuna fish, we guarantee you’ll make this over and over. Combining avocado with tuna makes the tuna fish very creamy.
The bread is toasted with coconut oil and is nice and crispy. You won’t miss the butter. Top the tuna salad with your favorite cheese. We’ve used Swiss and Havarti. Both melted nicely for a decadent, yet healthy, sandwich. Get the recipe here.

Tuna cakes are very pantry-friendly and this super-simple recipe is delicious. Pan-fried, they’re crispy outside and full of flavor. Store-bought stuffing helps to bulk them up a bit.
The homemade tartar sauce is creamy and tangy and can be whipped up in a snap. It’s the perfect complement to the cheesy, zesty tuna cakes. Serve them as a main dish or an appetizer. Here’s the recipe.

Grandma Wells’ Tuna Macaroni Salad
by Katrina Freed from Newark, DE
Creamy, full of texture and flavor, we loved this tuna macaroni salad. The chunks of white tuna make this a hearty salad. Onion and celery add a nice crunch. We really enjoyed the slightly sweet pop of flavor from the peas.
In the warmer months, this will make a nice light lunch or dinner. Perfect for potlucks and picnics too. Here’s the recipe.
King’s Hawaiian Tuna Melt Supreme
by Family Favorites from Not Far From Green Bay, WI
As far as tuna melts go, this one is pretty amazing. It may be a bit messy, but it’s very tasty. The base of the sandwich is sweet Hawaiian bread cut into thick slices and buttered. We liked the tuna salad itself – it has many textures and flavors. When it cooks, the melted cheese holds everything in.
This seems very fancy, almost restaurant quality… no one has to know how easy it is. Just make sure to have napkins handy. Get the recipe here.
