Four cars, a motorhome and a boat play tag on Georgia highway

An accident on Friday, Oct. 5, about 45 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia, in the rolling foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, involved the unlikely combination of a motorhome, boat and four cars, reported 11 Alive.com.

Crews cleared the massive accident on I-75 that caused delays for northbound traffic at mile marker 299.5 in the Pleasant Valley area of Bartow County.

The exact cause is still unclear but an emergency helicopter was called to the scene for a single reported injury.

One of the vehicles also dropped a boat on the road, according to reports from the scene.

Another “FOREST GUMP” moment for IDIOT DRIVERS!

“One of the vehicles also dropped a boat on the road”.

Huh? Does that mean a boat slid off the customary boat trailer, or was the boat on one of those huge multi-level trailers we see sometimes behind BIG motorhomes. You know, the ones with boats, golf carts, side-by-sides, and kayaks, all on one trailer. I watched the video and it didn’t explain much except to show the MH in the trees.

“Idiot drivers” That’s quite a leap. Maybe there were mitigating circumstances such as a blow tire.

Have you ever driven I-75 anywhere in the Atlanta area? This is just a normal day at the office. I have tried taking alternate routes [not easy or convenient] or timing my trip so I go through in the 1-3 A.M. window [doesn’t work]. That said, I am seeing more and more RVs [MH,5W,TT] moving at speeds of 75-85 mph on the Interstates. That’s just insane. Nothing on an RV is designed for that kind of speed, and it’s just plain dangerous, not to mention the fuel wasted at those speeds. Whoops-I did mention it…
