RVtravel.com Photo Contest, July 16, 2022

Select your favorite photo

These photos and their captions were submitted by RVtravel.com readers. Every Wednesday and Saturday we post a photo from five different readers. The link where to view photos and vote is in every Saturday RVtravel.com newsletter and every Wednesday RV Daily Tips Newsletter. Sign up here to receive a notification of each newsletter issue if you haven’t done so already.

Now, it’s your turn to choose the one photo out of the five below you like the best. You can only vote once per day (once per 24 hours). That means you can come back tomorrow at the same time or later (if the contest is still open) and vote again. The photo that receives the most votes by midnight tomorrow night, July 17th, earns the reader who took it a $50 Amazon gift card.

Spread the word

Make sure you check back every Saturday and Wednesday so you can tell your friends and family to vote! Email or text them the link to this page, and make sure to share it on social media too. If your photo gets the most votes, you win!

I didn’t vote today. None of the photos were very good. The subject matter was ok but every photo had technical flaws except the desert photo and that just wasn’t interesting.

Could you elaborate on “technical flaws”, I thought they all were nice. I was unaware they had to be professional. Happy Trails

Have you ever heard of the saying, “If you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything?”

We’ll you wouldn’t have learned much in school if your teachers had that attitude. 😁

Picky, Picky, Picky, you don’t have to look at them if they disgust you that much. #2 is the only one I object to because it has nothing to do with RVing.

Disgust? Where’s that?

I think all photos in this venue should be of places you can go and stay in an RV. Santorini is beautiful but you can only stay on the island in a hotel.

Most campers are not professional photographers. If they were perfect you would find them on a calendar. I take mine with my iPhone and they are good enough for my enjoyment!

HOW do I vote on a picture? I don’t see anywhere to select and submit my vote.
Thank you.

Wow! I have never had so many comments. Thanks for the feedback. I wasn’t trying to be harsh or critical. By technical errors I meant things like format or framing which doesn’t present the image in a way that makes viewing the photo pleasant or enjoyable.

Maybe I should have said I didn’t enjoy any of the images

All of the photos were taken from unusual angles or with framing that didn’t present the best aspect of the subject. Also the sunset (which was a great photo) was ruined by having huge trees in the foreground. Blocking the sun, in a sunset seemed strange. Perhaps it was to stop the suns brightness from dazzling the lens. There are ways to do that without blocking half the image.

Also please remember this is just my personal feelings about the images. I didn’t enjoy them, but you or the person who made the memory may be just fine with it.

RV Travel staff, perhaps you are aware of this and working on this. I too had the same question as R.C. below. “HOW do I vote on a picture?” I looked and looked a couple of weeks ago wanting to vote on the first posting, then gave up. Today, I tried again. On my iPad, there is no voting panel. Then I fired up my PC and sure enough, there it is…a voting panel. Thanks for all you do!
