Forest River is recalling travel trailers for faulty suspension

Forest River is recalling some of three different lines of travel trailers. The recall is for certain 2023-2024 No Boundaries (NOBO), RPOD, and IBEX trailers. The fasteners for the independent suspension may loosen, allowing the independent suspension to detach. A detached independent suspension can increase the risk of a crash. The potential number of units affected is 1,911.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect the fasteners and replace or secure them as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 28, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-642-1612. Forest River’s number for this recall is 51-1727.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! Geez, don’t these guys take quality control seriously? Seems as they — Forest River — are in the recall news a bit often. 🙁
