New vehicle has what? Yes, a built-in cappuccino maker!

This is a joke, right? A vehicle with a built-in cappuccino maker?

Nope, no joke! The vehicle you see here, the Volkswagen Amarok, is currently running around Iceland on big “floaty” tires. It has a built-in generator which it can use to power up its built in — yes — cappuccino maker and “other essential gear in support of winter expeditions up north.”

A cappuccino maker is essential? What a world!

It’s super off-road capable thanks to the set of 315/70R17 all-terrain tires sitting below flared-out fiberglass fenders. The front and rear suspensions have been lifted by an inch (25 mm), and larger mud flaps help keep the paint looking like new.

The Amarok AT35 remains a one-off work vehicle for now, but it’s also a showcase of the specialization options offered by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

So we now look into the future — cappuccino makers for all, at home or on the road. Latte lovers, eat your hearts out!

And then there will be the “Danish” maker so the owners can have a Cappuccino and a Danish while out exploring the outback in Iceland. Cool.
