Did you have an imaginary friend as a child?

Having an imaginary friend (or two or three) is a completely normal part of childhood. According to healthline.com, research states that up to 65 percent of children up to the age of 7 had at least one imaginary friend. That’s a high percentage!

When you were a child did you have an imaginary friend? Did your children? Or your grandchildren?

After you vote in the poll please leave a comment and tell us about your imaginary friend. We’d like to meet them!

Yes I had an army of them that sat on the grout lines in the wall tile of our bathroom. I use to order them around LOL

Little Beaver, Red Ryder’s sidekick, was my imaginary friend. He went everywhere with us. Mom had to set an extra plate for him at the supper table.

What do these questions have to do with RV Travel ?

As they have stated many times, not all of these polls are RV related. Just have fun with it, or skip over. No problem. 😉

Well, I for one, want to stay away from RVers on the road that have imaginary friends. I at one time imagined that GPS was my friend and found that was not always the case. I want REAL friends in the navigator’s seat. Yep, this is RV related for me.

😆 Thanks, KellyR. Yep, you have a good imagination. But I’m about as real as they come, so I’d be glad to be your real, as opposed to imaginary, friend. 😉 –Diane

No but my youngest daughter did.
58 years old and she still mentions her

Mr Pooby, apparently I had a lot of discussions with him. Later named our first dog after him

No but I had a lot of friends that I wish were imaginary including my brother. But, are ghost of your departed friends that show up imaginary or real? Thoughts to ponder.

No imaginary friend(s) as a child. As an adult I have thought that various people were my friend only to discover it was my imagination. 😉 As a child my brother and I sat on the very wide arms of my grandmother’s rocking chair and we all would pretend that we were riding in a stage coach and seeing wonderful things. All this while actually rocking just outside her house in SE Tennessee in the early 1960s.

Nope, had a quarter horse named “little brown jug”. Jug would listen to me all day long.

my wife had an imaginary friend as a small child, but I apparently wasn’t that imaginative.

Wow! That’s a lot of siblings. I didn’t have room or time for an imaginary friend, either, and all I had was a sister 3 years older and a sister 3 years younger. That was plenty! Have a great day, Tom! 🙂 –Diane

I said “yes” though I didn’t have a friend as such. I spent a lot of time mentally explaining things to imaginary people, though I didn’t think of them as friends.

I had many, no names. Lots of people to talk to. There was also a category that I referred to as my ‘invisible spider friends’, I think to deal with my arachnophobia as a child. Couldn’t see them, so they were okay.

When my mother was alive, she always claimed that I did. I have no memory of that.

It must have been in your mother’s imagination 😉

I had a sister just 16-1/2 years younger so I never was alone enough to have an imaginary friend, I had a real one LOL!!

I didn’t have one but my youngest son did. Named Junior, this kid everything. My son would tell stories about their travels and scraps. Amazing stories and they went on well through high school.

i had no imaginary friend as a child. However, it appears most people have imaginary friends today. They are linked to them on Facebook.

Yes, yes, yes. I had a small friend that would fit into my hand……I forgot all about him until this question came up. Must call my therapist……this may explain a lot of things!!!!
