Will you do something tomorrow for Christmas Eve?

Can you believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve? Where did this past year go? It seems to have flown by faster than Santa’s sleigh!

Will you do something tomorrow night to celebrate Christmas Eve? Will you go to friends’ or family’s house? Will you host? Will you go to an event or out to dinner? Or will you just be home with your loved one(s), enjoying the peace and quiet? Please tell us in the poll below.

Wherever you’ll be, we wish you a very merry Christmas Eve.

If the Blizzard clears up enough, I will pick up my Mother-in-Law and we will have Oyster Soup. Family tradition I was introduced to 53 years ago. If the weather will not allow the trip, we will host Monday night.

My daughter and her husband make an Italian seven fishes. It is my husband’s favorite meal. Merry Christmas to all!

Kind of oddly worded question and set of answers…I’ll be “doing something” with the family members I live with, I guess I don’t consider that “hosting” since we “host” each other every day.

Pick up my son at the airport (Hopefully!), have home made oyster stew, Wisconsin Cheese curds and salami for snacks, and get the Prime Rib ready for the oven. Maybe make hot cocoa and drive around looking at lights.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and joyous holiday season, no matter HOW you celebrate!

I will have the entire blended family for brunch, and then the children and partners will stay for dinner. An all day holiday celebration!

Stay in where it is warm and watch football.

He** no. Sub zero temps and even lower wind chills. Crazy drivers and insane Ken and Karen type shoppers will keep us at home. Snuggling up with the pups at home sounds much better and more comfortable.

Most years, yes. This year? We are in the act of getting 3 feet or more snow through Christmas Eve into Christmas Day – and then add enough wind for an official Blizzard Warning (think BIG drifts) and dangerous wind chills. We’d love to celebrate Christ’s birth in a group setting! The church sort of frowns on needless intentional suicide.

We will be going to our daughters family home for that night to celebrate our tradition started 3 years ago when we started living only 30 miles apart. We have a good dinner, then open Christmas presents we get for each other. Grandkids and adults. We party and laugh and enjoy the time. Fortunately, unlike many in the nation right now, we have mild temperatures and only a smattering of snow left on the ground from our last storms. Merry Christmas to everyone and stay safe.

Our children and grandchildren will be here if state and county crews can safely clear the roads today and tomorrow. We’re supposed to be experiencing a bomb cyclone today and tonight. It’s not worth putting anyone in danger, though. We can celebrate another day if need be. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Because of family size Christmas Eve will be my children and grand children then Christmas day will be my children with their outlaws. It works out very well. We see the outlaws during the Thanksgiving holiday. Should have been yes but not hosting option.

We are in our winter RV Resort with no family close by, but there will be 10 of us snowbirds enjoying a potluck turkey feast on Christmas Eve. We will FaceTime with the kido’s and grands on Christmas Day. Looking forward to a new adventure with old and new friends. New Years Eve will be the same but with Prime Rib potluck. Stay safe and Merry Christmas and have a happy holiday.

We host friends and family over for Chinese food from China panda garden restaurant, and we watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. A tradition we have done for many, many years.

I’ll be going somewhere. It’s a potluck with the ham provided by the RV park. All the rest is potluck, I’m providing the tossed salad.

We are trying our best to keep Christmas traditions going this year. Both my father and my brother have passed away through the year which takes 1/3 of the attendees. It will be hard but need to continue on for us and them.

Our park has a pizza get together at a local fun center. Then Christmas day a community pot luck with the traditional meal.

Our Christmas tradition is to dress as if we were going out to fancy restaurant and have a candle light T-Bone steak dinner with all the trimmings in the lower level of our home – rather than the dining room or kitchen setting. We will wine toast each other and make a toast to all our friends. Merry Christmas and may 2023 fulfill all your wishes and especially bring good health to everyone!

Each year we host a small family party at our house. We have dinner and when we hear the siren, we run outside to wave to Santa who stops by on the fire truck. I believe this is the last year for that…we are running out of believers.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all Campers !

Unfortunately, our planned Xmas day gathering is now kaput. Wife and I both came down with Covid. Oh well, we will enjoy our quite time together and thank our Lord for all our blessings in life.

This year we will all be together in Seattle at my daughter’s. We are fortunate in that we are retired and our kids work from home so we can travel when it is safe and NOT crazy. No matter where we are or which branch of our family we are with, I cook. I pick a country, usually European, and study their Christmas traditions. This year it is Norway. Then before the end of the year we investigate the feasibility of traveling to that country in the coming summer.

It is too darn cold to go anywhere!! I’m Texan thru and thru and my blood is too thin for these freezing temperatures! At least, unlike last year, there is no wetness!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to ALL!!

We had planned on it but I ended up taking my son-in-law to the ER and he’s having emergency gallbladder surgery first thing in the morning. Kinda put a damper on things.
