Ah, coffee… that magical, delicious stuff that gets us through the day! Are you a coffee drinker? If so, do you start each and every day with a good ol’ cup of joe?
If you are a coffee drinker, how do you take your daily cup (or cups)? Cream and sugar? Almond milk, no sugar? Cream, caramel swirl? Hot? Iced? Shaken? Stirred? 😉
After you vote in the poll below please leave a comment and tell us how much coffee you drink on a daily basis (one cup? three? five?) and how you take it. We’re curious. And cheers!

2 cups in the morning, usually with a little creamer in the first cup, I enjoy second cup black. I have a third cup around noon and that’s it for the day. No caffeine after 1:00 pm for me. No day or morning would be complete without it.
Articles still locking up as I scroll. Anyone else?
Two cups a day, black. Sometimes I will have a cappuccino.
2 cups in the morning. French vanilla (2) & 3 packets of Splenda sweetener.
2 Cups Brooklyn Bean Roasters Express-O-Dark K cups…Black… No Caffeine rest of Day…
Along with 2 slices of Public’s Breakfast Bread…
Hot tea is my morning drink
A day starts with sunshine and coffee, in that order. Black, please.
Start the day with a hot cup of tea. Never did develop a taste for coffee.
I normally rise at 5:20AM week days (still working at 68). My coffee maker is set to start at 5:00. I make 8 cups (as indicated on the Carafe) and I drink it all by 9. My wife is a tea drinker only. She love the smell of ground and brewed coffee, but can’t stand the taste.
Yes! Outside on the patio with the family dog and a hot, black cup of coffee in hand by 5:30 AM. Always a second cup with breakfast after morning walk with the dog. Sometimes even a third cup of black coffee!
Always. 2 hot in the morning 1 iced at noon and 1 iced in the evening. My brother and I stationed in Europe together would make a 30 cup urn drink that and make a 10 cup in mister coffee and it would be gone before closing the office.
Although we like coffee, my wife and I always start our day with a cup of tea.
I start with a glass of orange juice while eating breakfast. Then when finished read the newspaper with a cup of coffee. Usually 2 cups daily.
Never have liked coffee. Hubby drinks it first thing in morning. I was an extensive Coke drinker for 30+ years which is how I got my caffeine. Once we changed our eating habits to organic and no processed sugar, I found Zevia which makes a cola and other flavors. It’s my first drink of the day and throughout the day.
Hot tea or Diet Dr Pepper depending on if it’s summer or winter.
To paraphrase the age-old question, “Does a fish go in the woods? (think about it) 😁😁
Ahhhh, that magical liquid, coffee. A day can not start without a mug full of it. And some days I have a second mug mid afternoon. I prefer a dark blend and keep a good supply of it on hand at home and in the RV. I never buy the weak and watered down versions in restaurants or fast food places.
I drank coffee until January when I got the flu. Now I enjoy green tea
Not only do I NOT start my day with coffee.
I never drink coffee!
Do not like HOT drinks at all or the taste of coffee.
Can’t stand the taste of coffee, so, my caffeinated drink of choice is soda. Two cans. 🙂
A large cup of smooth PGTips tea for me. Ahhh. Wake up slowly. Starts my day right.
Hot tea
1/2 cup black every morning then another 1/2 cup after breakfast.
One or two cups …. mild cream and sugar
COFFEE! (with no pollutants – straight from the pot)
Not 1, but 2 LARGE Cups and mini Butter Croissants!!!
=============================================
Can’t function until I have that 1st sip. Start every day with a 16oz mug of pure dark roast coffee. No additives. Straight Hi-Test. And don’t talk to me until I have had a half of cup. LOL!
Cuppa tea for me
Didn’t drink coffee until I spent a year in Colombia. Kind of hard to not pick up the habit. Now, missing my caffeine means a headache for the day. Found that out visiting my aunt – she didn’t tell us she was giving us decaf until I told her I had a headache that was worse each day. Got some “real” coffee & it cleared right up.
I drank 15 to 20 cups a day – constant drinking. After years it got to my nerves and I was a nasty person.. I stopped cold turkey and got very severe headaches. Went to the doc for headaches and after questions she said it was because I was having coffee withdrawal. It was 3 months of withdrawal. Now decaf and tea.
We live in a log cabin home surrounded by country pasture and woods. Wife and I have an oat cereal with milk breakfast and then retire to our den with many windows for viewing the outdoors. We each drink around two cups of black decaf coffee as we read together scripture and daily devotionals.
I drink a quart of coffee a day but it’s 1/3 caffeinated and 2/3 decaf.
After prostate surgery having belly cramps, mentioned it to doctor he asked how much caffeine I drink. Told him at least 3-4 mugs in the morning, he said to drop the coffee. Well it worked but missed my morning coffee, tried drinking 50/50 getting along just fine.
“Sometimes” – in the winter, yes, in the summer “sometimes” – if it’s hot where we are (which is usually in AZ), then 4 or 5 mornings I don’t feel like it. If hubby makes it, I save it for later and add ice cubes and have iced coffee! 😉
no, not always, but a couple times a week might have been an optional answer
For me, there is not enough sugar in this world to sweeten just one cup of coffee for me.
A glass of orange juice works just fine for me.
My wife and I will go thru a 12 cup pot daily. I set a timer the night before and start as soon as we get up. We will have some times one or two cups in the evening. We drink ours black, but occasionally a flavored ice coffee will do.
Oolong tea. Lovely!
Black coffee and my RV Travel newsletter EVERY morning!
I question the sanity of anyone who doesn’t start there day with black coffee. No cream, no sugar, just black like it was intended.
One cup per day the first thing in the morning gets me going. I never add anything to it. One exception if i am out in a restaurant and the coffee is bad I will add some cream or a little bit of sugar to it. I am still looking for the best tasting brand of coffee.
Wondering what folks think is a “cup” of coffee. I drink 2 mugs every morning. 2 “mugs” is the same as 4 “cups” using the graduations on the side of the coffee maker.
Actually at least 2 cups every morning
Very difficult for someone with Menier’s Disease-vertigo aggravated and sometimes precipitated by caffeine.
Yes, mostly with cream and sweetener, sometimes black. We start off with a 12-cup pot and finish it by lunchtime.
No, green tea for me.
I learned over 40 years ago that the caffeine in coffee triggers migraines in me. Horrible ones. But that’s okay-I really never cared for it anyway. If I splurge on an Irish Coffee after a good meal in a restaurant, I’ll strongly emphasize my need for decaf, and they always oblige. But give me a good cup of tea any day!
I drink a pot of coffee every morning
I drink green tea and chamomile tea every morning with my meal. Chamomile has the opposite effect on me and wakes me up. Now drink black coffee after walking the doggie. It’s my “dessert”.
I used to drink chamomile before bed and finally found out that it worked backwards on me too. Interesting.
Herbal tea we grow in the morning. Coffee after dinner. Enjoy reading the variety of answers.
I’ve never tasted coffee. I had a 30-yr career working in public safety comms (PD, FD, 9-1-1). No coffee, tea, caffein, cigarettes or cigars.
Just 2 cups of tea.
My husband is a coffee snob. He makes his own blend using 2-3 different beans from Costco and grinds them every morning. I have one large mug to start each day, with cream or it upsets my stomach. His coffee has spoiled me for anything in restaurants so I don’t bother.
No… having been a 10-15 cup a day coffee drinker – I am now down to about 1/4 cup at noon! This change came about because my great grandkids (7-9) wondered why my teeth weren’t white. (Guess I never really paid much attention to that!). I do have a 1/2 to full cup of green tea after supper. (Darn kids notice everything and comment without fear!)
3 – 14oz mugs every morning, with french vanilla creamer. I use plain old store bought pre-ground coffee and i love it. When camping I brew a pot with my decades old percolator, and I finish the pot. It’s the best time of the day! Since retiring I have switched to half regular, half decaf.
Hot tea for me. Never cared for the taste of coffee. Parents both drank coffee. Told me when I was older and had kids I’d drink it. Nope…66 years young and still don’t drink it.
72 and still drinking tea. Parents drank coffee, but all 3 of us “kids” are tea drinkers.
I’m an early riser and every morning I drink 5-6 cups of black coffee. I need it to get myself started for the day. In the unlikely circumstance I find we are out of coffee, I wait for my wife to get up and give me a passionate hug and kiss. That really starts my day!
My wife starts her day with coffee, but I prefer creo brew.
What is credo brew?
Hi, Terry. Out of curiosity, I just Googled it. I think it’s Crio Brew, and this is from their FAQ page online: “WHAT IS CRIO BRU BREWED CACAO? IT’S NOT COFFEE | IT’S CACAO: Roasted, ground, and brewed like coffee, Crio Bru Brewed Cacao has flavor and aroma of unsweetened pure dark chocolate. Instead of coffee bean grounds, it’s 100% pure ground cacao.” (Sounds good!) Have a great day. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
Yes, primarily decaf.
I am addicted to coffee. At one time in my life I drank 20+ cups a day but I am down to 2-20oz cups a day. If I don’t get my coffee, I suffer from withdrawal and end up with a migraine. My migraine medicine has caffeine in it. I always have more than one bag of coffee at home and/or in the RV. I gave up coffee one year for lent and my wife told me I was never to do it again. I use to buy my coffee beans in a 25 lb. bag and grind it myself. I drink it strong and black!
I love the way coffee smells, but I never acquired the taste and haven’t drunk any in my adult life.
not just one but 5 or 6
Right there with you on that Dale, if the day was longer I would drink more.
One cup black
I don’t drink coffee, but I make a cup every morning for my wife. Meanwhile, I drink orange juice.
I have two cups of very strong Joe in the morning only.
Hi, a cup of black tea is my go to.
I drink plain, Berkey-filtered water all-day long and cranberry juice occasionally.
I use a French press at home, and in the RV so our coffee is always consistent. Creamer, brown sugar, high quality dark roast.
2 cups dirty every morning while reading emails, completing my daily solitaire challenges & reading the weekend RvTravel news.
In the beginning of computer programming I was a programmer and had a 10 cup coffee maker on my desk and drank in excess of 30 cups a day.Since I am retired I limited myself to 2 cups a day while I read these news letters. Thank God they come out 7 days a week. I get up before other family members so I am not disturbed until I finish my coffee. I am a lot nicer person when I finish my coffee.
I do sometimes have coffee, but not very often. I usually have a cup of water and or a few swigs (DW doesn’t like orange juice, so I drink directly from the carton) of orange juice. Lots of days, I rise, dress to walk and then walk a couple of miles. Once that’s done and I’ve stretched, then I’ll take a handful of vitamins and supplements with a cup of water and then have a breakfast bar. Coffee is an indulgence, not something that I “need.” 😉
Coffee through out the day
