How often do you eat at a fast-food restaurant?

We know that many people prefer to support and eat at local mom-and-pop restaurants more than they like to eat at a chain or fast-food restaurant, but sometimes it seems that’s the only option (especially on the Interstate). If you’re in a hurry, fast food sure makes things easy.

Please tell us in the poll below how often you eat at a fast-food restaurant. We mean a place like McDonald’s, Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell, etc. Even if it’s a local fast-food chain, it still counts.

Please leave a comment, too, if you’d like. We get excited when we receive comments about food. It is a shared love, isn’t it?

Mostly fast food happens to us when on travel days, and rarely otherwise.

Depends on where we are and what fast food is around.

My answer is more likely depends on if we are out during lunch and need to do more things after we eat.

Usually on grocery days but not always. I’ll get a breakfast sandwich.

Couple of times a month just for a change then to complain afterwards why did we do that. But, it’s got to the point that visiting a local establishment is the same in cost.

We do occasionally get fast food but avoid burger joints, Subway, or Chipotle’s are our usual. If we are traveling we like to avoid the interstate and metro areas so we may have to settle for Sonic but BBQ is often available.

Weekly if in town where a bunch of friends meet to discuss and solve world problems.
Most meals if on the road traveling. I finally convinced my wife that at least the food is uniform by eating at a chain. Too many bad meals, poor service, tips at the little restaurants.

We try to limit ourselves to once a payday but life sometimes gets in the way with a busy schedule, we have been known to grab a quick bite on the run.

We eat take-out food probably 10 to 12 times a year. Some is from fast-food places and some from less-expensive sit-down restaurants. I said “monthly” because “rarely” implies 1 or 2 times annually and we probably exceed that frequency.

It depends on the location of the closest Inn & Out Burger

I said monthly, but it really depends …. usually less than that. Just don’t like most places. Culvers is my choice if necessary.

We love the fries and the frozen custard at Freddy’s, so succumb to that about once a month and occasionally a sub sandwich or pizza calls to us…

We almost never eat fast food. Occasionally on a travel day but having a motorhome means we can grab lunch on the road easily. My wife and I both like Wendy’s grilled chicken salad and will have that when we’re out sightseeing, if one is nearby. Now frozen custard is a different story. I’ll make a special trip for real frozen custard.
