Do you have a National Park Service America the Beautiful Pass?

If you travel to national parks often, you probably have (or will want) an America the Beautiful Pass. The pass gives you access to every National Park, as well as more than 2,000 federal recreation sites (wildlife refuges, national forests and grasslands, and for lands managed by the BLM, Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). Nice, right?

The annual pass costs $80, and if you’re a current U.S. military member or have a medically determined disability, it’s free. If you’re a senior, 62 and over, the pass costs $80 for a lifetime. You can learn more here.

Do you have an America the Beautiful Pass? Tell us in today’s poll. Thanks!

I got mine as soon as I became eligible and it was FREE! I protect it and keep track of its location at all times. don’t want to lose it as it will cost me $80 to replace the Lifetime Senior Pass

Yes, Lifetime Senior Pass. It’s a “no brainer”, as they say.
Kind’a like me!

NO since they won’t sell them to Canadians

Same answer. I have mixed feelings about that policy. Last year we bought the full priced annual pass and could never use it. Park roads were either closed, major portions were closed or our 24’ rv couldn’t fit on the park roads.

Had one almost forever.

We use our Interagency Pass almost as often as the fuel card!

I had to answer no since I have the senior lifetime pass, not an annual pass.

We each have our own, purchased at $10 each many years ago. Using it is easy and they have paid back many times over so far in those nearly 25 years.

I have the lifetime military pass. My DW has the lifetime Senior pass. Hers gives us 50% off at COE campgrounds. Mine doesn’t. Go figure!

You’d think the ARMY Corps of Engineers would give the military a discount too.

Are you a disabled veteran? You get the Access pass for disability and get the 50% off.

We got ours back when they were $10. We used them 10 years ago when we retired. Since then? Nope.

We purchased ours for $10.00 the only thing I regret is not getting 2 of them and locking one away.

We said no because we never go to national parks. We have enough state parks here in Texas to keep us satisfied. We do have the Texas State park pass.

I checked “NO”, but I have a “Golden Age Passport” that I purchase 25 years ago for $10 bucks. I have used this pass many more times than I can remember or count.

I said “yes,” but it is the lifetime senior version, not the annual pass for whipper-snappers. 😉 I cannot remember all the names these annual/lifetime passes have. 🙂

Until we qualified for the senior pass we bought one every year for 19 years, even though we worked in a national park. Our annual travels took us near enough to many other parks so we managed to visit a lot of them. When that magic birthdays came, we could hardly wait to get our senior passes.

We were fortunate to buy our senior passes before the price went up. My husband and I each bought one. We have used them so many times! And they are accepted at so many places- not just National Parks, but all National forests and Monuments. One of the best travel purchases we have made!

We have the Sr pass not the annual pass. Great deal!

My wife has the colorful card, but I have the old paper version bought in 1999. It’s ragged but it works.

Tim Bear

Yep – in fact, we have two. I got mine right away @ $10, and when the price was going to go up to $80, years later, my wife got hers in case I lost mine.

Too bad you didn’t include a choice for the Lifetime Senior Pass. That percentage would be interesting.

We each have the lifetime senior pass. I am contemplating getting the Military pass (as I qualify) and some famly member are pestering me about it.

Phil

I answered no because we both bought the lifetime senior passes back when they cost only $10. And we’ve used them extensively.

I have the free Senior Lifetime pass and the Military Pass for $10.00. I got the military as the Sr. Lifetime is only issued once so if I should lose it….. it is also getting a little weather worn in appearance. It also gives COE discounts.

Russ

I chose “No” because I have the lifetime pass due to military disability.

As others have said I answered NO…Being a disabled veteran I have the Access pass. Free lifetime pass and get half off the cost of camping.
