Do you start each day with a cup of coffee?

Ah, coffee… that magical, delicious stuff that gets us through the day! Are you a coffee drinker? If so, do you start each and every day with a good ol’ cup of joe?

If you are a coffee drinker, how do you take your daily cup (or cups)? Cream and sugar? Almond milk, no sugar? Cream, caramel swirl? Hot? Iced? Shaken? Stirred? 😉

After you vote in the poll below please leave a comment and tell us how much coffee you drink on a daily basis (one cup? three? five?) and how you take it. We’re curious. And cheers!

I have no specific beverage to start my day, I’m naturally a morning person.

I’ve never learned to like coffee. I just drink water in the morning as well as all day long.

I never developed a taste for coffee. Even after 20 years in the US Navy, I still don’t like it. However, I have a cup of tea every morning. Just one.

Coffee is not fit for human consumption. Green Tea with Wintergreen Extract and tow sweeteners for me after 32 ox water, wife drinks coffee, but she has always been weird for the last 55 years.

Coffee is better than ox water and tow sweeteners —- IMHO 🙂

Stay safe and drink your beverage of choice, Joe

Start the day, end the day and in the middle of the day. And sometimes mid-morning and/or mid-afternoon. Coffee has been shown to have many health benefits.

Black tea almost every morning. Coffee once in a great while.

2 to 3 in the morning and continue with coffee until bedtime. I probably should have bought stock in coffee years ago.

1 to 4 cups a day. Never after 2pm.

Coffee is my beverage of choice. I don’t roll up into a ball and die if I can’t get it. I try to avoid any caffeine past noon. And, coffee has to be really, really, really bad before I add any pollutants. I drink it black and much prefer hot.

3 cups hot with almond milk and a few drops of Stevia. After noon a glass of iced coffee with same add-ons. Must be good for me.

2 Tervis Tumbler mugs of French Roast with one packet of Equal, a large splash of hazelnut Coffemate aaaannnd a drizzle of half and half. Yea, I know that with all the additions I can hardly call it coffee anymore but it sure tastes great!

A cup of coffee from our old fashion percolator in the morning just starts off the day right. To each their own. Only time I don’t is when we stay in a hotel …. terrible coffee. Never Starbucks … yuk!

Mandatory French roast in 20 oz. Contigo lasts me almost 2 hours. How in the world can a day begin without coffee!?

Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 I did, but no longer do. It seemed that coffee was upsetting my stomach. So, I stopped drinking it. Was no large change. Went from two cups/daily of coffee to two cups/daily of hot chocolate. On travel days I only have orange juice before beginning and Mountain Dew en-route. Thanks again, have a great week, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂

Orange Juice & Mountain Dew are so hard on my stomach. Had GERD surgery and no bubbly or citrus acid are a few of the things I need to skip.

Sorry to hear that, DPJ. 🙁 I hope that you are doing well so long as you avoid the “bad” stuff from your body’s perspective. I have Coke some days ratber than Mountain Dew. Is Coke as bad for you, given the carbonation? Safe travels and safe stays! 🙂

Proud to say I spent 35-years working public safety comms, nearly 27 of those years at a regional 9-1-1 center without drinking any coffee or smoking cigarettes. No alcohol or rec drugs either.

Never got started drinking coffee. DW doesn’t like “Coffee breath”.
Caught static my entire professional life over this. The boss would buy coffee for everyone, but not any substitute drink for me. Nowadays he’d get sued.

I did drink coffee while in the military, but don’t any more. Now I take half a bottle of 5HR energy drink in the morning. My doctor says the caffeine increases the blood flow in the brain, and I need all the help I can get. I also like that it helps wake me up and gets me going.

In college I spent a year in Colombia. I wasn’t a coffee drinker. But that was quickly changed. It’s really hard to buck a national passion. I learned some unusual ways to drink coffee, in addition to what we think of as “normal”

I love the smell of coffee, love when my husband opens a new bag but can’t stand the taste. I drink hot tea every morning for my caffeine kick. Iced tea in the afternoon.

Retired: one cup in the morning, black. Working: up to 15 cups a day. I went nuts and switched to decaf and had the worst headaches one can imagine. Now one cup in AM and tea the rest of the day.

My ex (decades ago) would drink coffee all day long at work, then wonder why he had such horrible headaches on the weekend, when he didn’t drink coffee. Have a good evening, Kelly. 😀 –Diane

In the Army I had an old timer Sgt. that had a hook on his belt to hang his cup on and as he went from one place to another, he would help himself to their coffee. He was a TRUE coffee drinker.

Shoot – you just reminded me of my German grandmother. She had a pot of coffee on the stove all day long and would pour the coffee out of the cup to cool on the saucer and drink from the saucer.

Ha! You just reminded me that my German grandfather (last name Fritz) would pour his coffee onto the saucer and slurp it from there. I thought that was kinda odd.🤔 –Diane

☕ (That’s a cup of coffee.) That would be pretty noisy at their table, if your grandmother slurped her coffee like my grandpa did.🤣 –Diane

We make our coffee using an AeroPress. It’s basically a one cup French Press that is popular with hikers since it’s small and lite weight. It makes the best coffee since it passes hot water through the grounds it doesn’t release the bitter oils like normal coffee makers do.
