OK, since we all know by now that Amazon seems to run the world, it only makes sense that we (humans) shop there for our clothes too, right? Amazon does have some nice clothes… and not having to go into a store does sound pretty nice…
Do you shop for any clothing items on Amazon? If so, how much of your clothing do you buy? All of it? A few items here and there? Or have you never bought any clothes on Amazon?
There are some things we like to buy on Amazon. Like this American flag T-shirt that’s made out of RVs (seriously, it’s cool). Or, ya know, if you really, really, really like hot dogs… there’s always this.
If you do buy a lot of clothing on Amazon, how often to you return items that you either do not like or don’t fit or for some other reason? Please leave a comment.

None. L.L. Bean, Marshalls, Burlington and in a blue moon Walmart. I really don’t want the hassle of sending back because it doesn’t fit or it’s just not right.
I never considered buying clothing from any online retailer unless it’s name brand. The money you may save is not worth the hassle of returns.
My DW does and she ends up returning about half of what she buys, mostly because the stated sizes are just wrong.
None, Land’s End for most of it.
Standardized sizes fit standard bodies. While neither of us feel misshapen, we find we cannot assume something will actually fit with out at least holding it up to us, and often need to try it on. Returning online or mail order clothing is a huge hassle.
Is it just me, or are Amazon prices typically higher than stores? Amazon is convenient, especially those items that are hard to find locally. For 50 years we lived in a rural area with little to no shopping. We now live in the city and enjoy shopping. We’re retired, we have all the time in our world to shop. Besides, I don’t want Amazon to put small business, out of business.
We live in rural Montana, closest shopping is 100 miles. We do have a nice little (expensive!) grocery store but no clothing to be had. I would rather not use Amazon but I do, quite a bit. I hate shopping anyway so Amazon is just easy.
Not Amazon, I use eBay for 99% of online purchases, including clothes since the closest clothing store is about 80 miles away. Wife, however, is the Amazon queen.
Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 I bought the last 4 pairs of blue jeans on Amazon. Or it was two pairs from Walmart and two pairs from Amazon. I rarely buy clothes. Thanks again, have a great weekend, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
Hubby and I have both lost so much weight we only shop at Goodwill and thrift stores. Rule is something donated and then replaced.
Congratulations on all of the above, Darla!👍 What fun to “have” to buy a new wardrobe because your old clothes are too big! (Been there, done that, back in 1999.) Have a great day! 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
I like the try before you buy option Amazon has. You can order up to 8 items (listed under the try before you buy category) Amazon mails the package out then you decide what you want to keep. You ship the rest back within 7 days, no charge for shipping either direction. You only get charged for what you keep. I find it a great way to find the correct size in jeans, capris, shoes etc.
I haven’t had much luck with clothing from Amazon so I’ve pretty much stopped buying. It’s usually the material – too much polyester, pills quickly, too heavy, too low cut, etc.
I bought all my clothes at Montgomery Wards, Sears, or K-mart.
