They say a dog is man’s best friend, but we’d argue coffee deserves that title just as much. Without coffee, RVtravel.com probably wouldn’t even exist. (Yep, Chuck drinks a lot of coffee….)
It’s the fuel that powers so many of us through long days, early mornings, and late-night campsite reservation sessions for the next big RV trip.
So, how many cups of coffee do you drink in a day? Is it just one to kickstart your morning, or are you the type who needs a steady drip of two, three, or even more to keep going? Or are you someone who somehow makes it through life without coffee (we promise we’re not judging)?
For many of us, coffee is a ritual. From that first cup brewed fresh at the campsite to grabbing a to-go cup from a roadside diner, it’s woven into our lifestyle. And while some folks might opt for tea or soda for their caffeine, today we’re asking about that magical, mood-lifting cup of joe.
Once you’ve cast your vote, let us know how many cups fuel your day and how you prefer your coffee. Do you take it black, or are you all about the cream and sugar? Do you have a favorite brew—maybe a locally roasted blend from your travels or a classic diner coffee that brings back memories of the open road? Do you use a fancy French press or is a simple drip coffee maker your go-to on the road?
As always, thanks for voting!

Not everyone starts their morning with a cup of coffee. I start with a cup or two of tea. Then maybe one or two cups of coffee.
I drink two 15 oz. RVtravel mugs every morning.
Looking for brownie points?? 😂
Hahahaha!
👍👍 (Can’t find an emoji for brownie points, like Paul suggested.😅) Thanks, David. Have a great day. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
Back in the day stationed with my brother in Europe we drank two 30 cup urns daily and after I drank several pots of coffee daily upon returning back to the states. Today about 6-7 cups daily and there only 10oz cups. But hey that’s the hardest thing I drink.
We do drink coffee, but it’s decaf.
2 cups at home, 2 cups at breakfast. None after 1200.
I always find this an interesting question. On average, I have 2 mugs (1-3), but my mug is 14 Oz.
We drink half n half decaf, was getting cramps doctor told me to cut the caffeine. OUCH!
we tried hard decaf and getting along fine, about 3-4 12 oz cups per day. Usually nothing after lunch.
Two “big” cups with International Coffee’s Almond Joy creamer.
I used to work with a couple of International assignees from Italy stationed in our plant in the U.S. Back then there weren’t coffee shops on every block, especially in Rochester, MN, to get espresso, much less the Euro form. So, to get their caffeine fix, they would let the coffee vending machine first dump the “coffee syrup” in then pull the cup and let the hot water go down the drain. Then they drank that thick vending machine coffee syrup! 🤢 🤣
Wow! Sounds like Lisa’s “Green Acres” coffee! (Also her pancakes!)
None!
Coffee tastes AWFUL!
I live for my morning almond milk latte with salted caramel syrup! 16oz. Size matters. Crema matters.
That’s not coffee anymore
One a day. Did I mention my ‘cup’ holds 20oz? 🙂
By “cups” do you mean ‘official’ 8oz cups? Our mugs are well over 8oz and we each drink at least two of them. We add a little ½ & ½ too. And if we’re feeling really fancy, we froth the cream before pouring in coffee. Good grief, eh . . . ?
2 to 3 12-oz mugs a day. For me it’s not for the caffeine jolt…I truly like the taste of good coffee. And yes, I do drink it black.
I drink half a pot or more of coffee, that’s around 6 to 8 8oz cups. I could get by with one cup a day but I can’t find a mug that big.
How many ounces in the standard “cup” ? I drink 20 – 24 ounces of black coffee each morning then none during the day.
I really enjoy the smell of coffee brewing, but I can not stand the taste of it.
Sounds like me, Gary. My folks never drank coffee, so I was never around it at home and don’t like the taste of it. But all of my grandparents drank coffee so when I smell it, it brings back pleasant childhood memories. Have a great day. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
I answered 1 cup but it’s a large mug, not a dainty coffee cup!
Tried coffee a couple of times, but never liked the taste & I don’t need the caffeine to get me going in the morning. I’m 80, & wake up raring to go in the morning, & don’t stop moving until early evening.
We have a cappuccino machine. Lavazza coffee. If it’s a long travel day, just espresso to reduce the number of breaks.
I drink one 12 ounce cup in the morning and a half cup after dinner. When I was working, I would go through a full pot in 8 hours. No wonder I was always on edge. Plus, only black.
I’ve never tasted coffee and have no desire to try it.
I love the smell of coffee, but I have never liked the taste.. I go for Diet Coke or iced tea instead.
I drink two to two and a half cups a day, but my cup is 20oz. I use to drink up to 20 cups a day.
Depends, but the smell of coffee is lovely especially with a shot of Baileys, then it is a slice of heaven!
Those graduations on the side of the coffee maker are 6 oz cups. I drink 2 standard size mugs which is 4 6 oz “cups”.
No coffee, love the smell, hate the taste. I drink 2-3 cups of hot tea each morning tho. Love me some Earl Grey.
A better question is how many ounces…I drink one but it is 16 ounces.
Thank you, RV Travel! Some days I have one cup of hot chocolate and other days I have two cups of coffee. I probably average 6 or 7 cups of coffee per week. I did select “two” in the poll. Have a great weekend and safe travels!
