Wait… you mean not everyone is hungry ALL the time like us? What!? Wild!
When it comes to meals, do you usually stick to a regular schedule—like breakfast shortly after waking up, lunch around noon or 1, and dinner somewhere between 5 and 6? Or do you prefer to eat whenever hunger strikes, without paying much attention to the clock?
We’re not asking about every single day—life can be unpredictable! But on an average day, which of these habits best describes your eating routine?
Some folks find comfort in the predictability of set meal times. It can bring structure to a busy day and even keep your energy levels steady. Others thrive on a more intuitive approach, listening to their bodies and eating when they truly feel the need.
So, which camp do you fall into: the clock-watchers or the hunger-driven eaters? Let us know—we promise not to judge either way! (But we will admit we are always hungry!)

DW and I are on different schedules it seems, so the eating times are not consistent. The dog will eat anytime but the cat – no way, as she can read the clock; her meal time is 8 AM and 4 PM.
I do both, regular and when hungry. I eat about 5 times a day but not a lot at any time.
Mostly on a regular basis at home. However, when traveling or sightseeing this is not always feasible. In those instances we will eat a larger and later breakfast (brunch), and dinner about the regular time.
Mostly regular schedule within +/- an hour. However, as others have stated, life can twist that schedule. And we would rather live that life than be locked into a tight daily schedule.
I prefer a eat when I’m hungry schedule. My wife prefers a regular schedule so that’s when we eat.
Diabetes will dictate when you need a snack or a small meal. I know first hand.
Thank you, RV Travel! Our rough, general schedule for eating is impaired the most when we travel. Happy new year and safe travels! 🙂
