Many of us forget the magic of seeing a movie on the big screen until we’re in that movie theater seat with popcorn in hand. It really is magic.
Do you watch movies? If so, do you mostly watch them at home or in your RV, or do you go to the movie theater?
(Or, perhaps if you own the 2024 Salem FSX 30VCVIEW you’ll have your own movie theater in your RV!)
It’s always fun seeing a movie in a different town or city, too, especially if it’s a small-town theater. We always love that about traveling by RV. Nothing to do tonight? Head to the local diner and then see a movie. You’ll be glad you did!
If you do go to a theater, when was the last time you went? What did you see? After you respond, please leave a comment and tell us what you saw.
If you haven’t been out to see a movie in a while, we suggest you go and find that magic once again. Plus, a small-town theater could sure use your support. And why say no to popcorn while you’re at it?

I think the Base Theater at the Philadelphia Naval Station back in the 80s. Nothing worth watching since.
Saw Song Sung Blue last week. Before that haven’t been to a movie since 2019.
Same answer.
Top Gun Maverick. Just as good as the first.
It’s been so much more than five years, I can’t remember. I suppose this is how folks felt when huddled around the radio started losing appeal.
With so much available on streaming services, why bother. We can sit in our own furniture and eat our own popcorn.
The only movie I’ve seen in the theater since the late ’90s was Loving Vincent, because we wanted to see Van Gogh’s artwork on the big screen.
Our church met in a multi-screen movie theater for over a year, and after hearing just how loud the movies are, I doubt I’ll go again. When Top Gun (& others) came out, we were in the seats that rattled with the sound effects.
We just don’t go to movies. I’m not paying those ridiculous prices to watch some Hollywood snowflake. Nothing really out there that catches our eye anyway.
My wife and I took our Granddaughters to see “David” the week after Christmas. It was great! Very well done and it generated some great discussion about the David and the Bible in general afterwards. Just a wonderful experience for all of us!
We saw it last week and I agree 100%
Same here
Let’s see. My son is 40 so it must be about 30 years since I was in a movie theater.
Super happy I do not own a movie theater given the poll results above!
Wicked 2 and Zootopia 2…both were great…on Thanksgiving Day 2025
We very rarely go to movies in the theatre. Could be years inbetween. But, we did just go to see the newly released Avatar. Next time we go to a theatre will probably be December when they release the 4th and final Avatar in the series. Our senior tickets were $5 ea for a matinee showing. Popcorn costs more than the ticket! 😵💫
We go to a local drive in just for nostalgia maybe once every summer or 2. A regular theater? I can’t remember it’s been that long
Sound of Freedom in 2023, before that was Ford vs Ferrari.
Last time???? Gone with the Wind 🙂
I understand $1.00 worth of popcorn is $10.00 to watch a politically charged movie …. and they wonder why they’re losing customers.
The last movie we saw in a theatre was the first sequel to Top Gun. We are much more comfortable at home.
We don’t often go to movies, sometimes with our grandkids as a special treat. But when David came out the wife and I had to go see it and it was great!
Love going to movies but everything is remakes, superheroes. or so much CG that it’s not really entertaining. What happened to story, dialogue, and acting????
Took my grandson to see the Sponge Bob movie during the Christmas Break.
