Got an RV? Hollywood wants it for a film

Ever dreamed of being a star? Well, if you’re like some of us, it might be better if your RV was the star. And here’s your RV’s chance. Imagine your RV turning up in a “dark suspense/thriller” movie. Your RV in a movie. It could happen—if you’re fast and in the right place.

Your RV in a movie—It takes all kinds

Your RV in a movieParamount Pictures is currently scouting/prepping a movie in Washington state. They’ll be filming within weeks, and are scouting for people with RVs. They’ve specified “Sprinter Vans, camper vans, RVs, teardrops, pop ups, etc.” for location shoots in two different Washington venues. Your RV in a movie? It could be. Here are the dates and locations:

Scene 1
Enumclaw, Washington
2/12-2/14

Scene 2
Grand Coulee, Washington
3/27-3/30

Don’t think your RV fits the bill, but your mug is good enough for appearing as an extra? Paramount says, hey, send us your picture.

Russ and Tiña De Maris
Russ and Tiña De Maris
Russ and Tiña went from childhood tent camping to RVing in the 1980s when the ground got too hard. They've been tutored in the ways of RVing (and RV repair) by a series of rigs, from truck campers, to a fifth-wheel, and several travel trailers. In addition to writing scores of articles on RVing topics, they've also taught college classes for folks new to RVing. They authored the book, RV Boondocking Basics.

All I can say is READ THE CONTRACT!!!

My sister owned a very large old home in Dubuque, IA used in the Movie “Take this job and shove it,” a comedy released in 1981.

Also, being in a large multi-national, the film industry would contact us to use product (in our case, large comptuer systems) in movies. I must have done something wrong in my career to have been the poor soul assigned to work with the Hollywood Studio attorneys! They make ambulance chasers look like saints! 😵‍💫
