RV service station debuts in Arizona—A one-stop solution for RVers

Your rig is low on propane. And you need to dump the tanks. And don’t forget, your mate reminds you, those holding tanks really stink! You’re short on ice, water, and firewood, too. Wouldn’t it be great if you could handle all of it in one stop? Imagine, a truly “full service” RV service station. If you’re traveling in the Parker, Arizona, area, there is one. Boondocks RV Station is right on the “main drag” of Highway 95.

RV service station with convenience and reasonable charges

Emmett and Lori Brinkerhoff recently opened Boondocks RV Station with high hopes. Provide RVers with the kind of services they all need, and make it simple. And make it affordable. Yes, we’ve seen “service station” ideas in Quartzsite, Arizona, 35 minutes down the road. But Boondocks is a bit different. A lot of it revolves around convenience, and reasonable costs.

While there are plenty of places where you can dump your tanks, not everybody makes it so convenient. RVers don’t need to dig around in the basement storage area to fish out the sewer hose. This service station already has a clean dump hose waiting for you—and gloves to keep your hands out of the goop.

“Hydro Jet” your tanks

But just dumping the tanks doesn’t always “cut it.” Suppose you have (gasp!) the horror of the holding tank that stinks to high heaven? You know that you could hire (for a HIGH price) somebody to come and blast out your tanks. But if you roll your rig into Boondocks RV Station, Emmett or his staff will blast the stink (and any unwelcome Klingons) right out of your tanks for as little as $35. OK, $45 if you’ve got a BIG rig. That’s a huge cost savings compared to those other guys.

Low on fresh water? Fill up. Need ice? The Parker RV service station can oblige you. Got the grandkids and they’ve got a hankering for weenies and marshmallows over the fire? You can pick up a bundle of firewood right here. Propane? Check.

The details—with no disclaimers required

We’ve taken advantage of this RV service station, and we’ve found the Brinkerhoffs are both congenial and serious about the service they provide. Boondocks RV Service Station is open 7 days a week, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., although holiday hours may vary. The station is at 1721 South California Avenue—Highway 95, Parker, Arizona. Give them a call at 928-575-7995, or visit their website by clicking here.

Disclaimer? None required. We were so impressed by these folks that we just want to spread the word. We haven’t been compensated for this story in any way. Drop in when you need a pump up, or a pump out, and you’ll see for yourself.

Sounds great. Actually what RVs need, not an addition to an overcrowded truck stop with the RV needs added as an afterthought.

That’s great! wish there were more places like this available. Wouldn’t it be nice if RVT put together a list (from all of our input), with those places that have a hydro-flush available? I’ve asked around here in Cali but they don’t know what that is!

We pass through there every year when we go down to Quartzsite. This could be a boon to our return trip. Even though there is now a second stop in Quartzsite for these needs, this new place looks to be a much better option if you can fit it into your trip. Not sure where this is (even looking at a map) but we’ll find it. Thanks for the tip.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! I hope that they are wildly successful and can eventually expand their business to more locations where people tend to boondock. 🙂

Competition is always good… as long as they stay competitive.

Not sure I understand pricing by axle for holding tanks and water. While there may be some correlation to size of holding tanks, its not a given. Simple to count axles, I guess.

This sounds like a winner! A small grocery store on site would be nice too (but I’m sure there’s one fairly close by.)

Saw a need and filled it with what sounds like a great plan…hmmm, wonder if this would work in the north east (Adirondacks)
