In honor of National Wildflower Week, which falls on the first full week of May (May 5–11, 2024), Recreation.gov has curated a collection of stunning wildflower images submitted by participants of the Share the Experience photo contest. These vibrant photographs showcase a spectrum of nature’s beauty, from vivid reds and oranges to regal purples, found in forests, parks, and monuments throughout the country.

If these breathtaking blooms ignite your wanderlust to discover more of the nation’s diverse floral wonders within federally protected lands, Recreation.gov has included links to nearby camping locations for your exploration pleasure.

If you are up in Banff, Canada in July, they run the Sunshine Village ski resort gondola and a chairlift to take you up to the largest alpine meadows in North America. Absolutely gorgeous!
