2024 Gulf Stream BT Cruiser 5210 motorhome—small, mighty, and cute!

In the video above we join the Joe and Kait, of We’re the Russos, for a walk-through of a small but mighty Class C motorhome, the Gulf Stream BT Cruiser 5210.

The one in the video is built on the Ford 350 chassis, but this motorhome is also available in a Chevy 3500 model.

The layout in the model in the video would make sense for families, as there is lots of seating and dining space.

The small but functional kitchen features a microwave oven, a 2-burner gas stove, and a 12-volt fridge.

I was surprised to find that a motorhome this small has a dry bathroom!

The video claims this RV has a 6-gallon water heater; however, the Gulf Stream website says it has a tankless water heater, so apparently this has since been upgraded.

More nice features of the 2024 Gulf Stream BT Cruiser 5210

  • 25,000 BTU furnace
  • Tankless water heater
  • Ducted A/C
  • Fireplace
  • Black tank flush
  • Outdoor shower
  • Walkable one-piece fiberglass roof
  • Exterior propane quick connect
  • Side cameras
  • Electronic awning
  • Aluminum sidewalls encased in fiberglass with an Azdel substrate

What’s not to like?

I admit this is a personal preference, but I have never been a fan of the two long bench seat layouts in RVs, and especially in one this small. I just think a different layout would be more practical. Honestly, are you ever going to seat that many people in an RV this tiny?  Perhaps for a family with a bunch of kids, this makes sense.

The only real counter space in the kitchen is provided by the sink cover. It has a 12-volt fridge, but solar and a generator are both optional, and not standard on this rig, which is nonsensical to me.

I get 9 to 10 on a 2022 5230. (5210 with a slide and trifold queen bed/sofa.) 11700# rolling full time.

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 I followed the Russos a few years ago, but fell away. They made really good videos and this one is too! We are not as minimalstic as Joe and Kait, so this is way too small for DW, dog #3, and me. Certainly is a nice rig though, especially for a solo traveler. Thank you for sharing it. Safe travels! 🙂

I’m kinda surprised they only use an F-350 frame. That’s my pickup! Overall though, seems to be well thought out and usable – for one person. Maybe two.

Where would “a family with a bunch of kids” sleep in this Class “B+” RV? I see beds for only two adults, so are the “bunch of kids” sleeping outside in a tent? At least the same length Class C built on a 1-fon Ford and Chevy chassis would have an overcab bed that might sleep a couple of kids. And there are some Class B camper vans that have better sleeping arrangements for two and roomier kitchens than this Gulf Stream. But the B’s probably cost more, so maybe that is the rationale for this RV.

I like this, but would prefer a dinette instead of one of the couches. If I had access to the cash I would buy this one. Solo traveler with dog.

I agree that the two sofas are ridiculous. This is really a B+ and will be used by a single or couple. Please, someone make a B+ on a Ford Transit chassis with a dinette, dry bath and bed, no slides.

Would consider the chevy chassis since the Ford chassis sucks!
