ELKHART, Ind., Sept. 23, 2024 —Truma North America is launching the Truma Combi G to complement its existing propane-powered Truma Combi, which serves as both a furnace and water heater.
“Many RV manufacturers we work with are shifting toward fully electric models. Eliminating propane is a step in that direction,” said Nick Dunning, head of business development at Truma North America. “The Combi G enables our Class B and Class C customers to heat their living space and water with the same gasoline used for their chassis, simplifying the RV experience.”
The Combi G and Combi G Comfort Plus models will be available for OEM installation this fall and are compatible with Dodge and Ford chassis. The device maintains the compact design of its propane predecessors, allowing RV manufacturers to easily transition from propane to this single-fuel option.
“Since we installed it, we haven’t had to fill a propane tank once,” said Combi G tester George Larson. “Not worrying about finding propane has removed a significant source of stress while traveling.”
An added feature of the Truma Combi G is its built-in high-altitude kit, which automatically adjusts for performance at high elevations without the need for additional parts. This gives RV owners more flexibility in their travel plans.
The Combi G follows Truma’s diesel-powered Combi D Comfort Plus, which was introduced to North America in 2021.

So, can it be retrofitted into older coaches?
Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 I wonder if they’ll make Aqua Hot and Oasis obsolete? 🤔 Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
I don’t think that I want my water heater running on gasoline..🤔
Ours runs on diesel, Bill. That is, an Oasis system, which has two electric burners and a diesel-fired one, supplies our hot water and forced air heat. Have a great weekend! 🙂
Wonder what the cost comparison is between running it on propane compared to gas.
