Are you snowbirding in Quartzsite, Arizona, this year? Then check out the video below from Rob of Travels with Dottie, which lists Quartzsite events in 2024 and 2025. Rob appears to have been living in Quartzsite when he made the video, so who better to fill us in on the local happenings?
2024-2025 Quartzsite events
Rob says the first thing potential Quartzsite visitors need to do is get familiar with the QIA (Quartzsite Improvement Association), as many events happen at their building in town.
Participating in these events is a terrific way to immerse yourself in the Quartzsite experience and community. With so many events, there is something for everyone!
Watch the video for more details. You will be amazed at the huge variety of things to do in this small desert town beyond the annual Big Tent RV show, but, of course, there is always that, too.
Here is just a sampling of some of the Quartzsite events happening from November through March:
• Market day crafts and swaps
• Ladies luncheons
• Off-Roaders Arizona meetups
• Metal detector meetups
• Pancake suppers
• Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners
• New Year’s Eve dance
• Veterans events
• Motorcycle events
• Free concerts
• Health fairs
• Christmas lights parade
• Gem and mineral shows
• Bob Wells’ Rubber Tramp Rendezvous (RTR)
• And much, much more!
In addition to the events, Rob also discusses getting around at the Big Tent Show, jobs for nomads, and other aspects of Quartzsite life. So if you are a Quartzsite beginner, give it a watch.

We enjoy going down to Quartzsite, only not during the Big Tent. 70,000 of our closest friends is just too many to keep up with. So we go after the tent affair. There actually is a lot to do and see if you allow yourself to engage. I bought my ‘big buck’ metal detector at Miner’s Corner in Quartzsite. Wandering around downtown is fun. Good pizza, fabulous ice cream, ORVs for sale along with motorhome. Miles and miles of off-roading trails, and endless Geocaches to track down. Yup, we like Quartzsite!
I like dry camping in an arid, dusty spot as much as the next guy but Quartzsite ain’t it. Too crowded, too expensive, too commercialized and too many inconsiderate jackwads junking up the desert for me.
I stopped watching this after 3 minutes. Seems like a lot of useless information to me. No wY I could absorb or determine what to see by listening to someone who appeared to be confused as to what ai is and I for sure don’t know anything about ai. What I would like to see is a printed list of events so I could scan and read that to decide what I wanted to see or attend
