Improperly torqued U-bolts have led to a Grand Design recall. Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2024 Solitude and Momentum fifth wheel trailers. The U-bolts may have been improperly tightened, which can cause the axle to move out of position. An axle that moves out of position can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash. Potentially 1,469 fifth wheels are affected by this recall.
Remedy
U-bolts have led to a Grand Design recall, so dealers will replace the U-bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 27, 2024. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design’s number for this recall is 910042.

Hopefully, they don’t just replace the U bolts, but also check for axle alignment.
