Book for beginning RVers gets thumbs up

By Chuck Woodbury
Full-time RVers Marc and Julie Bennett have penned their first book, “Living the RV Life: Your Ultimate Guide to Life on the Road.” Even though the book is not available in hard cover, it would be well placed on a coffee table. “Living the RV Life” is aimed at beginning RVers, although even RVing veterans will enjoy it.

It includes dozens of beautiful, sometimes dreamy photos taken by the authors that by themselves will have would-be RVers drooling.

Both aspirational and practical, “Living the RV Life” is a terrific guide for people of all ages looking to downsize, travel, or work on the go. Learn if life in an RV is right for you, with insightful details on the experiences of full-time RVers, tips for how to choose an RV (how big? new or used?), whether to sell your home (and if not, what to do with it), model costs, sample routes and destinations, basic vehicle maintenance, legal and government considerations—and much more!

Not only does the book feature dozens of beautiful photos, but graphs and other illustrations liven up the reading experience.

So many books along this line are poorly written, cheaply printed or offer limited, even incorrect, information. This one really does cover a lot of ground, and all to the point and relevant. The only mistake I could see was a chart that placed Death Valley in Arizona, not in California (and a bit of Nevada), where it’s actually located.

“Living the RV Life” would make a superb gift for any aspiring RVer. While it may be available at some large bookstores, the best bet for ordering it is probably Amazon.

RV Travel gives this book a strong thumbs up.
