Love’s expands footprint with new RV hookup location in Missouri

Love’s Travel Stops continues to work at offering a lower-cost alternative to RV parks for RVers needing an overnight spot. Now five more “RV hookups” are coming online in Southwest Missouri. The Missouri Love’s hookups join an already large network of the outfit’s offerings.

New Missouri Love’s hookups on I-49

A release from Love’s Travel Stops says it’s growing its network along Interstate 49 in Missouri with the addition of a new travel stop in Jasper, which recently opened. This store is Love’s second new location in Southwest Missouri this year, following the opening of a store off Interstate 44 in Sarcoxie in June.

In addition to Love’s Fresh Kitchen with food offerings prepared daily, this travel stop includes a Dunkin’ Donuts and a Subway. The location is also part of Love’s growing RV network, with five RV hookups and four additional RV parking spaces, RV dump, Wi-Fi and other amenities for travelers between the Joplin and Kansas City metro areas. Jasper is located near the border of the scenic Ozark Mountains region, with numerous tourist destinations, parks and forests. Love’s continues to add RV hookups at new and existing travel stop locations. The new Missouri Love’s is no exception.

The Jasper travel stop, located off I-49 at 651 E. Mercer St., adds 61 truck parking spaces and other amenities for professional truck drivers, including laundry, showers and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) fueling for cardless payments.

As a new Love’s, this location has space for EV chargers allocated to be able to quickly partner with local utility companies to install EV charging stations, should there be customer demand.

New Missouri Love’s store facts and services include:

  • Nearly 15,000 square feet
  • 61 truck parking spaces
  • Approximately 80 jobs added

Russ and Tiña went from childhood tent camping to RVing in the 1980s when the ground got too hard. They've been tutored in the ways of RVing (and RV repair) by a series of rigs, from truck campers, to a fifth-wheel, and several travel trailers. In addition to writing scores of articles on RVing topics, they've also taught college classes for folks new to RVing. They authored the book, RV Boondocking Basics.

I don’t know that I’d call the Love’s RV spots we used “a lower-cost alternative to RV parks” but they have been nice and convenient! The downside is the noise from the trucks but don’t let perfection be the enemy of good!

“Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good!” I like that, Bryan. Never heard it before. Thanks! Have a great day. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com

Way overpriced for such a horrible experience.

Hardly “lower cost” at all!

Great idea for over-nighters in a hurry! But the dog parks are too small, maybe OK for a Yorkie, but definitely insufficient for a German shepherd or Labrador! Join the Love’s driver programs for additional savings…

There’s no way I’d pay $48 a night to stay at a truck stop.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! Interesting. I wonder what features or circumstances determine where Love’s puts these? Confluence of heavily traveled highways, dearth of competing campgrounds, low-cost property acquisition costs, other factors? Not quite interesting enough for me to do the research, but enough to make me wonder. Have a great day and safe travels!
