Would you rather… Have a cool, shady campsite with no hookups, or a hot, sunny campsite with full hookups?

Sometimes, you can’t have it all.

Picture this: You pull into a campground and have two sites to choose from. One is tucked beneath big, leafy trees. It’s cool, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing on a hot summer afternoon—but it has no hookups.

The other campsite has full hookups with water, sewer, and electricity. There’s just one catch: It’s out in the blazing sun, and your RV will spend the day soaking up every bit of summer heat.

Which would you choose?

Some RVers would gladly give up hookups for a shady spot, especially if they’re only staying a night or two. Others wouldn’t dream of giving up electricity—particularly if it means running the air conditioner, charging batteries, or simply enjoying the conveniences of full hookups.

There’s no middle ground in today’s poll—you have to pick one! We know it depends on many things, but if you had to pick…

As always, thank you for voting and for sharing your thoughts in the comments. We always enjoy reading them.

I don’t want or need full hookups, only electricity for the A/C & CPaps. When we book a site, that is all I look for with the assumption it is somewhat level.

We can handle not having water or sewer hook ups but definitely look for sites with at least electricity.

We avoid summer camping. That said, there’s no sleeping without climate control, otherwise we would be in a tent. So we must have electricity.
