Do you believe your astrological sign affects your personality?

20

What do you think, does your being a Virgo or a Leo or a Cancer affect your personality? Some think it does, others are a bit more skeptical on astrology.

Do you read your horoscopes every week? Did you when you were younger? Was there a time when you were into astrology even if you aren’t anymore (or vice versa)?

Vote in our poll below and tell us what you think. Leave a comment too if you think your horoscope matches your personality. We want to hear what you have to say.

When I was younger, I would read my horoscope but never took it seriously but it did spook me one day. I was laughing with co-workers on a 10 a. m. coffee break that my horoscope was too late because it said a move to a new house was in order. I had moved into a new house the month before.
By lunch time, I had a phone call that my house was on fire. Sure enough, a move to a new house was in order!

Okay yes. Well, no, but maybe, who cares? I do darn it! I am not one Of those types that can’t make up my mind, what? are you kidding me? I always know, kinda sorta at times, but I can change my mind can’t I, of course! NOT!

I don’t read my horoscope, but I do believe my sign Libra on the cusp with Virgo describes me quite well and so do my friends.

I think it’s more like the season of the year… which somewhat corresponds to the astrological signs.

I am a Leo. I love being the center of attention, having parties, and living in a large house, all “traits” that Leo’s share. Having said that, I don’t believe in horoscopes and I can’t tell you the last time I even read my horoscope.

I checked “I doubt it,” but my sign is Libra (the balance), and I tend to look at things from more than one side.

I have been having trouble with poll not loading for a couple of weeks now. If anyone knows how to correct this on a Samsung 6, please let us know.

The doctor that delivered you exerted a far more powerful gravitational effect on you than did the moon or any of the planets at the moment of your birth.

I was born under the sign of Dr. Medearis.

Now that I think about it, that self-fulfilling prophecy could exist in some cases. However the daily horoscope could convince you to act against your own best longer-term interest. So a negative side to that too. Finally, thinking that the position of the planets foretells your future in any way is just BS from a time when we really didn’t have a firm grasp on how the universe works.

Agree with the horoscope BS but question that we now have a firm grasp on how the UNIVERSE works.

Astrological signs can affect a persons personality if they believe it can. If your sign says that you are an aggressive, go-getter, A type and you believe it, you may have a tendency to act that way. If that is a self fulfilling prophecy it will affect your personality for the long term. If you find your sign is to be a “people person” and that is not a comfortable place for you, it will not have much impact.

I never read my horrorscope – personally, they are made up just like the strips in fortune cookies. However, I have read personality traits for my ‘astrological sign’ and see a lot of the way I am.

I also don’t read my horoscope however many moons ago after my divorce someone gave me a book about astrological signs. After reading the book I found everything it said about Leo (my ex) and Taurus (me) was dead on and why we shouldn’t have even dated. Later I met and married a Sagittarius that lasted 41 years until she passed away. So there is something to it, now I’m married to wonderful lady who is a Scorpio and we could be twins we have so much in common. However I give God the credit for uniting us as we were both praying for guidance for the rest of our lives, and we met, fell in love and married 4 years ago. We are both in our senior years and looking forward to many years together, even if it’s in an assisted living facility. Lol

I do believe there’s something to do with when you’re born that gave rise to astrology. We Geminis will find each other in a room. We can be very different, but we seem to have many very similar traits. It may have to do with the magnetic field of the moon or stuff bombarding us from space or something while we’re forming in utero, I don’t know. There does seem to be something there, and horoscopes appear in many cultures (I am also a dragon on the Asian horoscope, and happily married over 30 years to a rooster/Gemini). But horoscopes? Nah.
