Here’s a little email trivia for you: The first email was sent by Ray Tomlinson, an engineer working on ARPANET (the precursor to the modern internet), in 1971. It was a test message, likely a random string like “QWERTYUIOP,” demonstrating that messages could be sent between computers.
Email began to gain popularity in the early 1990s, with the rise of the internet and services like AOL, Hotmail and Yahoo!.
Now, on to your emails… How often do you check your personal email? And yes, we mean personal, not your work/business email(s) here. 10 times a day or more? A few times a day? Once every few days? Once a week? Or do you never check or read your email?
Well, we hope you check whatever email account of yours receives our newsletters from us… nudge nudge. We’re happy you’re here!

Once a day. Everything else is text, or other apps.
If a badge shows up on my phone or tablet, I will look at it. I’m on my device a lot when I’m not RVing.
Working from home, my phone is always with me for email and text.
At home, I check my email daily; in the RV, occasionally.
Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 I have two email addresses. I check the gmail account, which receives a large amount of spam, once daily unless I am corresponding with someone. In that case, I might check it 4 or 5 times daily. The yahoo account is more private and receives far less spam. I get RV Travel emails at the yahoo account. I check it at least twice daily, and I tend to keep it open longer than gmail. So, on a typical day I will open each account once and then open yahoo a second time. Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
I have iMail & its always open & there are several accounts on there for my self & wife. I have a large screen & one side is for the web & the other side is for my mail accounts. Makes life easier & I don’t miss something I was waiting for. But when camping I don’t even have a computer other than my phone!

I might check my personal email a few times a day. But typically I will only respond once a day.
I check my email once a day, at which time I delete 99.999 percent of them without reading them. Most emails are sent because I bought something and now, I’m “subscribed”. about once a moth I go through and take the time to unsubscribe them to keep them off my computer. I don’t correspond with anyone via email.
A few times a day, mostly related to this newsletter and the afternoon daily reports, both on either my tablet or cell phone. I prefer texts, and more so, phone calls in regards to family and friends.
Almost continually, and that is because it also comes in on my phone. When my primary income was specialty work for sailboat racers, contact times with both owners and suppliers was critical. As my office was in my coach, a land-line was impossible. I still use different numbers to pre-sort the callers.
Unless I’m expecting an email from someone I check my email twice a day. If I’m communicating with someone that I just can’t get off the phone, I use email so may check more often.
While sitting at home, I check it a few times a day. While traveling, I may check it once or twice a week, just to see if something urgent needs attention.
