None, at the moment, but we did a 13-day Mediterranean cruise with Viking this past spring and an 8-day tour of Ireland this fall, our first international trips since Covid. Looking forward to more travel.

We are planning a trip next spring/summer for Upper Michigan and Canada. We’re not crossing an ocean but we still need our passports.

No, too many places in the United States left to see.
Plus, I filled a passport in 2004-2005.

Those days are over. We look at pictures and think of how it was now the thought of what it’s like is scary and what is no more are worse thoughts. Times are always a changing.

Hi, Kenn. Did you know there are approximately 17 Portlands in the U.S.? But I’m going to assume you’re referring to Portland, OR.🙄 Have a great day. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com

We were in Europe in 2024. We live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (at least for the summer) and about 5 hours from Sault Saint Marie (the SOO). I won’t rule out crossing the St. Mary river, perhaps meeting up with Canadian friends. They came down to Texas (where we winter) for a decade, but not right now.

I spent a good portion of my working life in airports and airplanes traveling to different continents. I’m happy to continue our RV travels and spend my travel $ on the ground right here in the homeland for now.

The one continent, besides Antarctica, I didn’t make it to was Africa, so for me, seeing the “safer” parts of the wilds of that continent would be my choice if I were to plan international travel.

Two planned. Galapagos cruise in April and Iceland in August to experience the total eclipse!! Just did a bucket list trip to Banff in September. That was a great trip.

Those who say “never” need to read Mark Twain, who said “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.” That applies today as much as, or more than, in the 1890’s Gilded Age!

Given the current state of a large portion of the world intl travel can also be fatal to your life.

I answered “no” but want to qualify that vote. My wife and I just returned from 5 weeks of exploring Scotland and England. A great trip in great country. Lots of walking, hiking, and exploring. Next trip is Italy in 2027 for our third walking tour.

News is reporting the cartel is retaliating against America for disrupting their drug distribution and vowing to attack American tourist in popular resorts and places in other countries.

I travel internationally more than domestically nowadays. I spend at least half of each year in Europe, mainly southern Europe– Italy, Spain and the Balkans– although this year I also traveled around the UK, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia. Right now I’m in Croatia, where I have a temporary residency visa for the winter. Then back to Italy in Spring.
