For some, it’s the stunning natural beauty that captivates them. Others may be swayed by the culture, food, or memories tied to certain places.
Maybe you love the changing seasons in New England or the sunny, laid-back lifestyle of California.
Every state tells its own story, and sometimes that story speaks directly to your heart.
On the other hand, some of us may find it impossible to choose just one favorite. Each state we’ve visited or lived in offers something special, making it hard to narrow it down. Perhaps the warmth of Florida’s beaches appeals to you just as much as the majestic peaks of Colorado. Or maybe it’s a mix of family history, life experiences, and personal preference that leaves you torn between a few top contenders.

No I don’t have a state that’s above the other. I find each state brings something that’s unique. That’s what makes traveling always an adventure and intertwines them together.
I have states that I like over others but I agree Skip, every state is different and offers something unique. Nevada is probably my favorite just because of the mountainous expanses of boondocking wilderness just begging to be explored.
Texas.
I love Texas, at least outside of the extended summer. I love Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, at least outside of the extended winter. I certainly enjoy travelling the states between. What I seriously don’t enjoy in Texas are the non-inclusive belligerent politics and the need to be careful about what I say and where I say it. Otherwise, the majority of people in that state are great.
Texas is conservative. I like living here.

South Dakota. For some reason, when I’m in SD my soul feels at ease. From the glacial lakes region of the northeast part of the state to its sweeping plains and grasslands, from the Missouri River breaks to the Badlands, and the majesty of Paha Sapa (the Black Hills), the beauty is incredible.
….kissin’ cousin to North Dakota! Both states offer a great deal – except long winters, unless that’s your thing!

I have lived in my favorite for 62 years: Colorado! Probably because I haven’t found another state I liked better.
We moved to CO 15 years ago when we retired and share your feelings. We do enjoy traveling to other states though, some more than others.
Ohio. I love it.
Favorite is Alaska.. during summer. 20 yrs traveling N. America, lots of great places, but we’re animal people, hard to beat Alaska.
Every state has something special. I can think of things I like and don’t like about many of the ones we’ve been in.
I have truly loved camping in every single lower 48, each is unique, but Louisiana has captured my heart – the food, the music and the people are all so rich, so soulful, so captivating, I just keep going back again and again for more and never tire of it…
Outside of Nawlins nope
You just had to bring politics into the conversation and calling people of the West Coast communist shows exactly what type of person you are. California is a beautiful state that has more diversity than any other state. Almost 800 miles of coast line, highest mountains in the lower 48, deserts, forests of Redwoods, lakes, streams….and fantastic weather. Forget spewing political bs and enjoy what we can enjoy.
Utah, with it’s unbelievable scenery all over the state & Alaska, which we’ve spent 3 summers in, over the last 12 years.
California, with it’s natural beauty and wonders, from the Mountains to the Pacific Ocean and between, Carmel to San Diego, northern border to southern border, the deserts to the valleys, has wonderful weather, beaches and so much to enjoy. Politics aside, RVers have a lot to experience.
Maine
Arizona. We considered moving but health issues got in the way, We did winter in Mesa for several years, Also liked the Texas Hill Country VERY much.
Hands down my favorite is Wyoming. They have Yellowstone and Grand Teton. I’ve been to many states but this is the place I come back to along with Colorado and Montana.
My parents favorite state as well, when they were alive. Except the Bighorn Mountains was the main draw for them. Every summer they would go boondock in the Bighorns in their old 28′ Jayco 5ver for a few months to hike and enjoy wildlife watching.
There are several states I really enjoy for their beauty. Among them is West Virginia simply because the scenic vistas. There is also the Ozarks in Arkansa and Missouri and the Smoky Mountains in both Tennessee and North Carolina.
