Where do you get more exercise: at home or on the road in your RV?
It could go either way: You might get daily walks in your neighborhood, tackle yard work, or attend exercise classes at your sticks-and-bricks home.
On the flip side, maybe you’re more sedentary at home, daydreaming about hitting the road in your RV.
When you’re RVing, your activity levels might soar. Exploring a new trail, kayaking on a quiet lake, or strolling around a bustling campground can be invigorating. But the RV lifestyle isn’t always active; it could also mean hours behind the wheel or relaxing at your campsite.
So, how does it play out for you? Are you more active in your stationary life or when you’re on the move? Take a moment to consider your habits. Do you find yourself drawn to more adventurous activities on the road, or does life at home encourage a steadier exercise routine?
Where do you get more exercise: when you’re in your sticks-and-bricks home or while you’re on the road in your RV? Vote in the poll below, and after you vote, please leave a comment to share your experiences!

We hike in the mountains, so that’s way more exercise.
Try to get exercise both camping and at home but type exercise is different between the two.
Goal is to age gracefully 🙃
About the same, but the types of exercise are different. Typically less grunt work with the RV, and more leisure oriented exercise.
We always take our American Brittany dog, VADA, when we go in our motorhome and she absolutely loves to go on walks. So we tend to walk much more when we go on our trips than we do at home, even though I do walk her twice a day at home!
Once we get to our destination, we don’t sit around. Our sightseeing plans are made ahead of time. We enjoy museums, especially the ones in small towns, zoos, historic sites and just walking around the small towns in the area checking out the shops.
But we do avoid tourist traps!
When we do finally get back to the campground, after dinner, we will walk around for at least 45 minutes.
Then inside for a little TV time and then bed.
My wife and I are long-time fitness buffs. We exercise at home daily and have more options…weights, machines, lap swimming. We lose workout days traveling between campgrounds.
