Will you celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day?

Do you have big plans to celebrate tomorrow’s Saint Patrick’s Day? Are you headed out to a parade, or maybe a dinner of corned beef and cabbage with friends over at the RV park social hall?

Will ya be wearin’ a bit o’ the green so you don’t get pinched? Or maybe you won’t wear green at all because you’re really into getting pinched?

Actually, you might want to wear blue, because according to historians, Saint Patrick’s color was blue, not green.

But whatever. . .

And by the way, do you even know who Saint Patrick was? Here’s the quick story: He is one of Ireland’s patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.

Now, it’s time to answer the survey.

Will be presenting a concert. Then we’ll go out to a local pub afterward and sing “O Danny Boy” to Paddy’s Day revelers. Should be a lot of fun.

I’m playing in the Tucson Civic Orchestra and the Tucson Concert Band this weekend. In the orchestra we’re celebrating Beethoven and in the band we’re celebrating St Patrick’s Day.

I usually celebrate it quietly, but I certainly have a good reason for a big celebration. I am a 4th generation American, but still have 100% Irish blood, since the previous 3 generations married full Irish. To top it off, I was born on St Patrick’s Day.

I own an Irish Shop, my kilt will be on and then out to dinner to hear the bagpipes! All Summer we are vendors at Irish and Celtic Festivals. Pretty much celebrate everyday!
