Moraine Park Campground in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park will reopen with an initial limited release of dates over a two-week period. Beginning today, July 8, at 8 a.m. Mountain Time, reservations will become available through recreation.gov for Wednesday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 22.
Before additional dates are released, out of an abundance of caution, park staff and contractors will test new water and wastewater systems to ensure they are working properly to keep up with expected demand.
The Moraine Park Campground and Utility Rehabilitation Project is a critical infrastructure project that is improving water, wastewater and electrical distribution systems that serve not only Moraine Park Campground, but also Beaver Meadows Visitor Center and Rocky Mountain National Park’s headquarters area as well as many other critical park facilities.
