6 kitchen gadgets for your RV

When your kitchen is tiny (and your countertop space is even tinier), the right gadgets can totally transform the way you cook, clean, and organize.

Here are six slick and thoughtful products that can help you enjoy your RV kitchen more.

And bonus! They won’t break the bank!

Silicone stove cover

This soft silicone mat covers your electric or convection RV stovetop. It adds extra work surface while the burners are off. The mat is ideal for turning unused stovetop space into prep space when you’re not firing up the burners.

The cover is heat-resistant up to 400 degrees, so you can set that hot-from-the-oven casserole dish right on top without an issue.

Cord organizer

These cord organizers tame clutter and keep electrical cords where you need them to be. No more small appliance cords cluttering your RV countertops or tangling inside the kitchen cupboards.

Bottle cap rim cleaner

You’ve seen it. Little bits stuck between the threads of your bottle cap seal. With this bottle cap rim cleaner, you can easily remove the dried soda remnants or leftover water flavoring powder. Cheers!

Refrigerator organizer bins

These clear, modular bins keep your fridge clutter-free and let you group items by type. Think: snacks in one, condiments in another. These bins make quick work of retrieving just what you need without stressing your fridge’s cooling system.

Bonus: It’s easy to transfer items to your stix-n-brix home when you get home. All you need to do is grab a bin. The bins will catch spills, too!

Folding mini trash bin

This handy bin easily clips to your RV kitchen cabinet, ready to catch carrot peels, onion skin, and more as you prepare food. It collapses when not in use, or you can just remove it until the next time.

Oil sprayerTwo in one oil keeper Image: Amazon

This glass oil container has dual features. Use it to pour cooking oil for recipes or use the spray function to give salads a fine mist of yumminess. Also great to use when grilling!

At home and on the road, a wooden pizza paddle is great for not just making pizza, but also taking hot items out of the oven. (And, giving the missus a playful seat now and then as she passes by.)

I’ll give a thumbs up to that oil sprayer! I recently picked up an identical one on Amazon that was even less than the one in this link! I was very skeptical that it would work well after years of Mister Mistos and various other expensive sprayers that always clogged, but figured for roughly $5 it was worth a try. It might not be perfect, but this design is far superior to all those pump kinds for sure. Plus you can pour from it too, which means I only need one olive oil container. Worth it!

It would have to be my diffuser! I rarely burn delicate items like home made caramel, etc. We also use it as a griddle to warm our tortillas! Easy storage also.

Speaking of tortillas, there are multiple choices on Amazon for insulated Cloth Pouch Microwavable Fabric Bag to Keeps Food Warm for One Hour. We use ours for tortillas, pancakes, toast, naan bread, rolls, etc.

Thank you for the suggestions and the related discussions, Gail! We use the bins that you mentioned. Just as you note, they make transferring refrigerator contents between house and RV much easier, in addition to organizing refrigerator contents. Have a great week and safe travels!
