It’s time to give your RV refrigerator a makeover

By Gail Marsh
Is your RV fridge looking a bit worn? Are you tired of wiping fingerprints off the stainless-steel doors? Looking for a way to disguise those dings and scratches? Maybe you just want a pop of color in your RV. You need an RV fridge makeover! Here are a few ways you can easily spruce it up.

Easy fix

I’ve researched various ways to transform an RV refrigerator and, frankly, many of them sound difficult or messy. I really don’t want to apply chalk paint to the fridge doors because that will eventually mean chalk dust everywhere! Appliance paint requires more patience than I have, so I decided to look for alternatives. I’m amazed at the variety of applications!

Stickers

I’ve been in love with stickers since I was in grade school. You may be surprised to discover that there are stickers made for refrigerators (and other appliances, too). These are certainly not your grade school stickers! Plus, many of these products are removable, if you tire of the look. Check these out!

Wraps

Many RVers complain about the stale or bland interior of their rigs. Refrigerator wraps will quickly dispel that idea! Take a look. I’m sure you’ll agree there’s nothing boring about these refrigerator wraps!

Magnetic wrap. This wrap will definitely not leave behind any sticky residue, should you change your mind. It’s completely magnetic! That means you can position and reposition it as much as you like! (Other designs/colors are also available.)

Beer safe. I love this whimsical vinyl sticker, too. Plus, the set comes in a wide variety of sizes. You’re sure to find one to fit your RV fridge. If beer’s not your thing, you can order a wrap that features your favorite drink (e.g., Pepsi, Coke, etc.).

RVINYL. This company makes wraps for just about everything—including your RV exterior! They can make a refrigerator wrap for you, too. Choose from a wide variety of brilliant colors and poof! That boring RV interior transforms before your eyes!

Fridge frames

If you don’t want to stick anything to your fridge or wrap it in a decal for your RV fridge makeover, you can spruce up your fridge photos by putting them in picture frames.

Simply buy small picture frames (places like Goodwill are great for this) and spray paint them the color of your liking. Attach a magnet back to them (you can purchase these on Amazon or at any craft store) and voila! Now your fridge looks like a mini museum!

How about you?

What a great idea! I am renovating an older permanent RV & need to touch up my oven door. Will never use it, so no heat worries, so a “sticker” of some type will be perfect. Thanks! Now, what else could use a sticker . . . Lol

In our travels, we have collected so many fridge magnets that we are close to needing a second fridge! They are great conversation starters and a visual tribute to the many places we have been blessed to see during our RV adventures!

Thank you, Gail! 🙂 Lots of great ideas; thank you! 🙂 Us? No, DW likes the starkness of the plain stainless steel box that is our refrigerator. Thanks again, have a great week, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂
