Tour the 2024 inTech Aucta Willow Rover travel trailer

[Note: In a lawsuit brought by Forest River against inTech for trademark infringement over the use of the name “Terra,” Forest River recently (early March 2024) won their case. Read about it here.]

In the video below, we join one of the nominees for our 2024 RV Video awards, Big Truck Big RV, for a tour of inTech’s all-new Aucta Willow travel trailer. The video shows the Rover model of this trailer. If it looks familiar, inTech used to market it under the name Terra Oasis, but it has been updated for 2024 with more than just the name.

Before getting into the RV market in 2016, inTech built sturdy aluminum-framed trailers meant for transporting high-end sports cars. They wanted to bring that same quality to their RVs that initially earned them high marks from consumers and help build their reputation.

Treat your employees right, customers also benefit

Each of inTech’s 310 employees benefit from profit sharing—every single of one of them. The company says that provides a big incentive to do things right and keep customers happy.

The trailer certainly has a different look, even from the outside, from other trailers.

The dark wraparound windows provide amazing views from nearly everywhere. The propane tanks are neatly stored out of view. It’s also constructed differently, including an entire welded aluminum cage and frame that’s built by inTech in-house. No staples and no screws are holding this trailer together. Be sure to watch the video to gain further insight into the solid construction of the inTech Aucta Willow.

The exterior is fiberglass over Azdel composite material, meaning no wood. In RVs, no wood is usually a good thing. Even the doors, windows, and other cutouts are framed in aluminum.

There is a terrific slide-out outdoor kitchen that features a grill/griddle and a 12-volt cooler. There’s even a small prep table that attaches to the trailer’s exterior. I love that the cooler can travel, so if you want to take it in the boat or in your car on a day trip, you have that option. It can also function as a freezer for greater food storage flexibility on the road.

The quality even extends to the flooring in the outdoor storage bays, which are lined with Infinity woven flooring, a PVC vinyl-coated flooring that’s typically used in the pontoon boat industry. This same marine-grade flooring covers interior floors, too.

Sturdy front steps on the inTech Aucta Willow

The front steps look like ordinary RV steps, but they are not. Welded to the I-beam frame, they don’t move with weight upon them.

The front wraparound dinette is large enough to seat about five people. The table can be manipulated in a number of ways, making it always easy to get in and out. With the panoramic windows, there’s no better place from which to drink in the views.

I love the clean, uncluttered and open look of the interior. For instance, no window valances. (Side rant: Who thought adding ugly, unnecessary weight to an RV was a good idea? I will never understand RV window valances. I easily took about 200 pounds out when I removed them during my trailer’s remodel.)

The kitchen features a 2-burner Dometic cooktop, a combination oven/convection oven/microwave, and a 10-cubic foot 12-volt refrigerator. I love the coffee bar opposite the kitchen, with storage and pull-out shelves underneath.

I always love the rear bedroom layout. This one is no exception, with its split dry bath in the middle.

This model features twin beds in the back that are actually larger than a typical twin. A single-bed option is also available.

More nice features of the 2024 inTech Aucta Willow travel trailer

  • Automotive-style 3-ply windshield
  • Torsion axles
  • Enclosed, heated tanks that are heated 3 different ways for cold weather RVing
  • Tankless on-demand water heater
  • External solar port
  • Wired for optional rooftop solar
  • Heavy-duty step that doesn’t move with weight
  • Blackout window shades
  • Ducted A/C
  • MaxxAir fan
  • Porcelain toilet

What’s not to like?

I am impressed by almost everything in this trailer and plan on adding it to my list of new RV possibilities.

If I want to pick, I will say that the hanging wardrobe closet is short. I would prefer at least a little bit of full-length hanging storage. And I am not fully sold on 12-volt fridges. But if you could upgrade to enough solar to where it is never a worry, maybe.

There does not appear to be pass-through storage among the exterior bays.

The outdoor kitchen lacks a sink and even lacks an outdoor water sprayer. Other than that, it is a better-than-most outdoor cooking space.

The mirror in the shower is useless if you are showering. Just a steam collector. But if you’re primping for the day, I guess you open the door and use it after the steam dissipates. Not a fan of the twin beds at all, But I know many people sleep in different rooms so this may not be a problem for those folks (unless they don’t want to sleep in the same room!). As Cheri mentioned, no real hanging room. With the 12v fridge, you need hookups or a generator, or a generous solar and battery upgrade for boondocking. I like the suspension setup. Storage on the outside seems a bit sparse.

I found one for sale at $60k. Ouch. You think the in Tech Terra Willow customer service folks could possibly teach the Forest River Della Terra folks a little thing or two about good customer service? Didn’t think so. Forest River and Camping World go hand-in-hand on poor customer service. And what exactly is a One Year Lifetime Warranty? But $60k?

Very nice trailer and a lot of features I like. Tommy M pointed out some cons that I agree with. I also agree with you on not being quite sold on 12v refrigerators for dry camping. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find trailers with the absorption refrigerator.

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 The build quality described is impressive. I hope that their sales generate pressure on competitors to match the quality. Thank you for sharing the video and educating me on this company. Ironic that they lost a court battle with Forest River, king of recalls. I bet this company has very few recalls. Thanks again and safe travels, Cheri! 🙂

We have a 12v fridge and LOVE IT. It worked perfectly with 200w of OEM solar when dry camping for as many as 6 days. Never even have to worry about any length of time with current 350w of rooftop and 100w of portable solar. We will never go back to a 2-way fridge that never keeps ice cream frozen!

We also have twin beds because they can be longer in the same size bedroom. Think about it–if you leave space for a walk-around bed, it must be shorter than a bed along each sidewall. As I am over 6′, I refuse to ever sleep in another “RV queen”.

So, I love all but one feature of this inTech. Who wants to eat dinner admiring the back of your TV, when a gorgeous lake is behind you?
