Join Myles of Myles RVs for a tour of what he says is 2024’s most interesting RV, the Ember RV Overland 240TKR. In fact, after producing over 600 RV video tours, Myles says he hasn’t seen anything quite like this. Not only does Myles say that Ember is different, but he also says that this particular floor plan is different.
On the outside, you will quickly notice a lack of silicone seams. Instead, RV edges are encased in a metal trim. You also won’t find any wood in the trailer construction, it’s Azdel composite material in the roof, floor, and sidewalls.
A HUGE LED-lit automatic awning that runs the entire length of the trailer will shade your outdoor living space.
This trailer is versatile and can serve any number of different scenarios. It does have toy hauler capabilities and, therefore, a dropdown awning-covered back patio that provides additional outdoor living space. The patio can also drop down into a ramp for loading and unloading toys.
Watch the video as Myles first shows you the trailer with the space opened up so you can see how large a space you have. It’s pretty impressive, especially considering there are no slides. You’ll be able to see what it’s like with the patio open as well as where all the cargo tie-downs are located.
Once you see it empty, Myles then loads it up, including a unique cargo rack system that holds gear or could be used to sleep two more people, and a bar with stools for eating or workspace, or even more sleep space.
All of this attaches to an E-track system, so it can easily be moved and reconfigured as needed.
The bathroom is large and functional. The kitchen features a Furrion 12-volt refrigerator and a vertically placed 2-burner stove. There is no traditional oven, but there is a microwave with a built-in air fryer.
The front theater seating converts to the main sleeping space. It’s also customizable for seating. For example, the middle island can slide back to provide additional seating. Take off one or both seats and flip down to reveal one or two Murphy beds. But wait! There’s more! You can also configure it into one large king-sized bed instead of two singles. Brilliant! Watch the video to see how it all works.

What’s not to like?
An electric tongue jack would have been nice but is probably not a deal breaker. The shower might be short for really tall folks. The kitchen counter space is minimal at best.
Myles was looking at a prototype in the video. While still substantial, note that Ember lists this unit’s cargo carrying capacity at 3,130 pounds, not 4,090 that he states in the video.

Thank you, Cheri! 🙂 Well, there certainly are many attractive features. It’s a bit over my buddy’s budget, but certainly interesting. Thanks again and have a great 2024! 🙂
Looks like if you have a flat tire you have to open up the backside to access your spare.
Nice trailer and a really good video report/ presentation. The tire “emergency” style brake looks like it might be a knee knocker though.
Thanks for the report Cheri !!
That handle comes off once you’ve used it to chock the wheels.
Actually this does have a power tongue jack and the nifty thing is how Ember has accomplished this – it lowers from beneath the A frame in front rather than the lousy way most tongue jacks operate and also block the tailgate of the tow vehicle.
Essentially it’s a beefed-up leveling foot type arrangement for lack of a better description.
I gave this my very first award – RV of the year. It was the best thing I saw at RV Open House. Period.
