Niagara Falls is a popular destination for RVers and, as such, the team from The Camping Loop wanted to find great camping near Niagara Falls. They found it at Four Mile Creek State Park, and in the video at the bottom of this article, they take us on a tour so anyone planning a Niagara Falls trip can see what to expect.
One big plus is the free “Discover Niagara” tour bus that picks you up at the campground and takes you to the falls and other popular attractions. This saves the hassles of driving and the expense of parking near this uber-popular tourist attraction. However, know that the shuttle only runs on weekends.
The park itself is large with lots of grassy areas and also a large waterfront, so bring your kayaks.
RV sites are a little close for a state park, but not as close as most commercial RV parks.
There are some nice playgrounds and picnic pavilions, and our hosts say this would be a good park for a group meetup. A well-stocked camp store keeps RVers and campers supplied with essentials and more.
The video concludes with a virtual tour, set to music, of the entire campground and nearby attractions. Looks like lots of fun!

We camped at Four Mile Creek State Park and agree it is a great campground. Not all campsites are close together the section when you first come in are close together. Not all lake front campsites have access to the lake because of trees and brush. It’s a good safety barrier. The lake sits below a few feet and isn’t stable. There is a place with a sandy beach to go to. When you check in the office gives you a pass for your campsite. Which also gives you free parking at the state parks at Niagara falls. Niagara falls is a nice twenty minute drive from the campground. Had some beautiful sunsets over Lake Ontario.
I’ve heard the town of Niagara Falls, New York has deteriorated badly to urban blight from the loss of industry while Niagara Falls, Ontario invested in tourism and is vibrant and growing accordingly. Do you have an opinion you can share on this from your most recent visit?
We were in the Buffalo/Niagara area this summer. While further away from Niagara (about 40 miles), Evangola State Park is a good option for exploring that general region. It’s located on Lake Erie.
