A Wyoming RV resort is giving away a free weekend. Do you qualify?

Get something for free? No strings attached? A Wyoming RV resort is giving away a free weekend. To top it off, folks can also get a free whitewater rafting trip. No strings attached? Well, OK. You’ll have to be a “local” to take advantage of the offer, but it’s certainly not something you see every day.

“Weekend staycation”

The “weekend staycation” is the gift of Alpine Valley RV Resort and Dave Hansen Whitewater in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Locals Weekend event runs Friday, May 17, and Saturday, May 18.

Alpine Valley RV Resort says it’s celebrating the arrival of nice weather with free RV sites on Friday and Saturday. When we say “locals,” we mean those with proof of Teton or Lincoln County residency. These folks will be able to enjoy outdoor activities and a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere.

All sites include concrete RV pad and patio, asphalt approaches, fire pits, high-speed fiber optic WiFi, sewer, and water. Pull-through sites are 75 feet long and back-in sites are 60 feet long. Alpine Valley wants locals to reconnect with nature while enjoying the comforts of an RV.

Goodwill from RV resort giving away a free weekend

RV resort giving away a free weekendLocals can also enjoy a free whitewater rafting trip with Dave Hansen Whitewater at noon on Saturday, May 18, leaving from Alpine Valley RV Resort. This trip is open to any area locals, even if they aren’t staying at the resort!

If you meet the local qualifications and want to take up the offer, best call ahead to reserve a spot: (307) 241-5707.

While the Alpine RV resort is giving away a free weekend, it’s not just a good deal for RVers. No doubt locals will have such a good time they’ll probably be back, cash in hand, for a repeat stayover. Goodwill is a good thing.

Russ and Tiña went from childhood tent camping to RVing in the 1980s when the ground got too hard. They've been tutored in the ways of RVing (and RV repair) by a series of rigs, from truck campers, to a fifth-wheel, and several travel trailers. In addition to writing scores of articles on RVing topics, they've also taught college classes for folks new to RVing. They authored the book, RV Boondocking Basics.

But just look at all of the “free” publicity they’re getting. Have a good evening/night, Bill. 😀 –Diane

Also good will toward the community…considering the bad attitude some communities have toward the RV parks. Sounds like a great effort from the facility

Thank you, Russ and Tina! 🙂 What a great deal! How gracious! Very nice of both businesses to be so kind to their “neighbors!” Thank you for the warm fuzzy feeling this story gave me! 🙂 Safe travels! 🙂
