2026 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2619FK: compact, yet comfortable

If you’re a couple who likes to camp comfortably without hauling a huge rig, the 2026 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2619FK is built with you in mind.

This travel trailer is compact enough to tow easily, but it still feels thoughtfully planned out for multi-day trips or long weekends. In my mind, the layout and amenities make it best suited for a single RVer or a couple who like the smaller size but don’t want to give up any creature comforts.

Behind the walls

The 2026 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2619FK features composite wall construction, a fully laminated walkable roof, and a six-sided full-aluminum frame. The strength and longevity of aluminum make this a travel trailer that will last.

The build also includes aluminum floor joists and a 5/8″ tongue-and-groove plywood floor for a balance of weight savings and stiffness.

Optional packages extend climate protection and convenience features for cold-weather use or off-grid prep.

Interior and living space

My first impression as I walked in was “cozy but cleverly arranged.” The front-kitchen layout shifts the cooking zone forward and opens sight lines back through the trailer. This makes the main area feel taller and less cramped than the overall length implies.

Rockwood uses solid-surface countertops, hidden-hinge cabinets, and a mix of practical surfaces that will resist scuffs from everyday use. Lighting and window placement make the interior feel brighter than you’d expect from a less-than-30-foot trailer.

Kitchen

The galley sits at the front in Rockwood’s Ultra Lite 2619FK and provides a cook-friendly workspace. Included is a three-burner range with oven, a microwave, and adequate counter space for meal prep.

There’s a pantry for dry goods and an undermount sink with a high-rise faucet for dish duty. If you like cooking outdoors, the exterior griddle prep lets you move the mess outside on nice nights. The layout keeps everything within reach without feeling jammed.

Yes, this RV mounts the refrigerator on a slide-out. While this may disqualify the 2619FK for some buyers, I really don’t mind that location. (We’ve never had an issue with a fridge in our slide-outs.) Access to the refrigerator with the slide retracted is a bit limited, however.

Living room

The main living area has a dinette and opposing seating that’s aimed at comfort rather than an effort to squeeze in extra sleeping space. You’ll find handy storage beneath each dinette bench, as well.

The theater seating across from the entertainment location pairs nicely with the TV option for movie nights. I’m not a big fan of the TV “televator,” but I like that the TV can be moved out of sight.

Bath

The walk-through bath is practical with plenty of storage in the built-in cupboards and medicine cabinet. The downside for me is the space around the commode. It seems a bit crowded. In other RVs, the toilet is mounted at an angle to permit more leg room. But because this is a walkthrough bath, angling the commode isn’t possible.

Rockwood includes a few touches focused on convenience and maintenance, like a black tank flush and a Showermi$er in some units, which make campground life a bit easier.

Bedroom

The rear master provides a dedicated sleeping space with a queen bed. Two reading lights are convenient, and there are cabinets over the bed for cargo. Two pullout drawers add even more storage under the bed.

The second entry door enables access to the bedroom and bath when the slides are retracted. The door also functions as an emergency escape, which I much prefer over the egress window. (If you’ve tried using one, you understand what I mean!)

The 2026 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2619FK bedroom strikes me as private and functional rather than luxurious, which is fine. There’s plenty of cabinet and hanging space for two travelers on extended trips. Night shades and optional TV prep are nice finishing touches, if you like to relax in bed after a long day of exploring.

Overall take

For couples who want a towable trailer that punches above its size in livability, the 2026 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2619FK hits a sweet spot. It keeps towing reasonable, uses modern construction for durability and rigidity, and lays out the interior to make everyday camping chores and downtime quite pleasant and comfortable.

At 30′ long and with an estimated 1,300 lb. tongue weight (8,625# x 15%), this trailer should not be considered half-ton towable. That is especially true for any owner planning to add a camper shell and carry a generator, extra fuel, E-bikes, etc., in the truck bed plus the weight of the driver, passenger, and back seat gear.

We own the Flagstaff Super Light version of this TT. We love it since we picked it up in April 2025. The only problem we’ve had was with the water fill. Apparently the tube was crushed when the foam insulation expanded. Our Dealer at Keepers RV in Mankato, MN took care of it, sort of. We camped in it in SD and MN during the summer and now we’re in Arizona. It tows great. Love the BAL auto level, works great. Husband says he wishes the black water valve was not as far under the camper.

We tow this with a Ram 3500 truck. Also the back hitch holds our e-bike just fine.
