Is this Barbie’s RV? Crazy pink travel trailer by Vintage Cruiser

In the video below we join JD from Big Truck Big RV (one of our readers’ favorite RV YouTube channels) for a tour of a crazy new travel trailer from Vintage Cruiser that will make you think you just walked into Barbie’s RV. That’s right, it’s pink. Very pink. Very, very pink.

Actually, there is a good reason behind the pink RV: It’s to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month. Well, that’s what they say in the video, although I saw nothing about it on the Gulf Stream Coach website and the video does not mention any donations. So, until we get some details, I’m sticking with Barbie’s RV! This video is pretty new, so perhaps there is a special promotion yet to come?

Vintage Cruiser trailers promise “the fun of the ’50s with the technology of the 21st century.” It’s an appealing combo that results in fairly simple, straightforward, lightweight trailers, although some of the larger models do have slides.

To be sure, certain (presumably) rare individuals would LOVE living in a Pepto Bismol Pink mobile palace. Others, not so much. No matter, you can get Vintage Cruiser trailers in other color schemes. They even have a “Woody” version.

There is a lot to like about the trailer in the video, regardless of which decor you get, starting with its light weight of 4,300 pounds and respectable cargo carrying capacity of 1,475 pounds.

It has an extremely functional floor plan for a small space. The corner bathroom is surprisingly large, but this layout also allows for a decent-sized hanging closet. The kitchen and small dinette take up the center, and the front is the living area/bedroom.

More nice features of the Vintage Cruiser

  • High-quality exterior doors with slam latches
  • Electronic tongue jack
  • On-demand tankless water heater
  • Azdel composite sidewall
  • Furrion 12-volt refrigerator (in pink)
  • Rooftop solar
  • 3-year structural warranty

What’s not to like?

Besides the obnoxious amount of pink? I did not find a lot to nitpick about. I have always loved this particular floor plan and the trailer, at least in the video, seems pretty solidly made, especially considering its light weight. Be sure to leave your thoughts on it in the comments below.

The color might cause violence in the campground, I remember several years ago the prison system in some state tried different colors of paint in prison cells. They tried several colors trying to find one that soothed the prisoners more. Pink was one of the most violence provoking colors, so think about that before plunking down your money for a Barbi trailer. Lol

I can’t afford the Mary Kay Cosmetics SUV to tow this ‘gem’.

TOO much pink. So it has a battery-operated tongue jack – but no batteries. How does THAT work? The customary fart fan in the lav. Why do mfg’s CONTINUE to do this? The bed is ‘crawl over’ for two people. That doesn’t work for me. One of our local RV dealers had one of those Winnebago retro motor homes in their lot a few years ago. It sat there FOREVER. I don’t know if they actually sold it or . . . Maybe a pink Tesla truck for this?

Love the pink. It’s fun. But I feel like you’d definitely need a pink truck to pull it.
