The 2027 Thor Eddie Bauer EB26 is designed for couples who want a comfortable touring coach without stepping into a full-size Class A.
The EB26 can also accommodate an occasional guest or two, thanks to its optional overhead bunk. Could this be your next RV? Read on to see.
Behind the walls
The 2027 EB26 rides on a Ford E-Series chassis powered by Ford’s 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine.
Construction features a welded tubular steel floor with welded tubular aluminum roof and sidewall framing. The roof, walls, and floor use vacuum-bond laminated construction with block foam insulation for improved rigidity and thermal performance.
A one-piece fiberglass front cap, frameless windows, basement storage compartments, and a premium roof membrane help with durability while helping reduce maintenance over time.
The EB26 includes a single driver’s-side slide-out that significantly expands the living area without making the coach difficult to park or drive.

Interior and living space

Stepping inside, the EB26 feels quite open for a coach under 28 feet. The slide-out gives the living area breathing room, and I appreciate the no-carpet designer choice throughout. The two-tone Eddie Bauer cabinetry, brush-gold hardware, and light-colored flooring create a bright, modern look.
Kitchen

The kitchen is quite compact but thoughtfully arranged. Solid-surface countertops provide an upscale feel, as do the soft-close drawers. You’ll find a stainless steel sink with a pull-down faucet, and a dedicated trash cabinet, too, that I like.
Cooking duties are handled by a two-burner LP cooktop and a microwave. A 12-volt double-door refrigerator offers good food storage for extended trips, and wireless charging outlets keep devices powered while traveling.
Living room

Instead of a traditional dinette, the EB26 uses a pair of reclining theater seats with removeable tables for eating. I like how this arrangement keeps the area comfortable for relaxing. The living room television is positioned for easy viewing, and the captain’s chairs swivel to become part of the living space once parked. You’ll also discover a portable table that fits between the captain’s chairs when needed.
The open floor plan allows easy movement throughout the coach, even with two people using the space at the same time.
Bath

The redesigned bathroom is one of the improvements for the 2027 model. Rather than a split bath, everything is contained in one private room, which I prefer.

The shower includes a retractable door and skylight that adds both headroom and natural light. A porcelain foot-flush toilet, stainless steel sink, and useful vanity counter provide a residential feel but don’t waste valuable space. I especially like the dedicated medicine cabinet.
Bedroom

The rear bedroom features two twin beds that can quickly convert into a king-size sleeping area. This flexible arrangement makes the EB26 attractive for both couples and traveling friends.

Storage is located both underneath and over the beds. Wardrobes and dresser drawers provide enough storage space for longer trips. USB charging ports and a dedicated 12-volt outlet for CPAP users add convenience for overnight comfort.
An optional power overhead bunk above the cab increases sleeping capacity for guests or grandchildren when needed.
Overall take
At just over 27 feet long, the EB26 is easier to maneuver than many larger motorhomes, yet it still delivers residential-style amenities and generous storage. I think the 2027 EB26 is a strong option for extended travel while still being compact enough for many state and national park campgrounds.
