Are you doing anything special for Labor Day today?

Happy Labor Day! Feels like yesterday that we were wishing you a good Memorial Day, doesn’t it? Summer sped by, as it always does, in the blink of an eye. Sigh. But, alas, our beloved summer months have come and gone and now it’s time to start thinking about our fall clothes, our leaf-peeping day trips and our pumpkin lattes and hot apple ciders.

Are you doing anything special for Labor Day this year? A family BBQ or get-together perhaps? One final trip to the beach? A Labor Day event (like these)?

Please tell us in the poll below and leave a comment too, if you feel like sharing what you’re up to. Thanks, and enjoy your day!

Take care of yourself so you don’t have to go back and have those 5 star meals.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery (from whatever), Bob. Delicious home-cooked meals should help. Take care.🤗 –Diane at RVtravel.com

MIGHT dig out my driveway ditch before the rain Wednesday, then again tomorrow is still in time. Suppose to be hot and miserable, so I don’t know if I want to leave the A/C in the S&B.

No. I’m letting all those that got to get to work tomorrow have the road and fight each other. I’ll wait till Wednesday to move on the road.

Helping my son and grandson installing an aluminum porch cover at their house, then grilling up some steaks for dinner with both our families! Life is good!

Happy Birthday, W!🎂🥳 My son was born the day before Labor Day, 47 years ago. I was hoping he’d hang in there for one more day so he’d be born, appropriately, on Labor Day. He had different ideas, however.😅 Have a great day! 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com

One of our great granddaughters turned 6 yesterday. #1 GGS turns 11 on 25 Dec, #2 GGS turn 9 on 1 April and #2 GGD turns 3 on – I forget which holiday! Asked our GD if she knew how many holidays there are in a year…..!! (Also, happy brirthday to “W” and your son too).

Thanks, D & J. That’s funny, and what coincidences! My best friend from high school is Valerie, born on Valentine’s Day. But do you think I remember every year? Nope.🙄 Another friend was born on Halloween. Have a great day! 😀 –Diane

We have had a BBQ get together at our home with a group of friends starting in 1990. We used to play softball and drink plenty of beer. We decided several years back we just weren’t softball players any more! Now it’s bocce, cornhole or Yardzee.
Smoked ribs and chicken, still some beer, assorted salads for eats and always Magic Cookie bars for desserts.

Heading home in our motor home from Tiger Run Breckinridge, Colorado back to Aledo, Texas. Boring and hot. But it’s nice to be home sweet home in the country where my dogs can run free. I have two neighbors feeding the wildlife and taking care of the property. Going to get my pumpkins out and decorate for fall this week.

We visited friends and family on a 4 wk trip 3 weeks ago and in two weeks will be flying to Texas to visit family. We’re using the time in between to catch up on chores around the house and doing some chilling. Today we went to breakfast with long time friends and waiting for my brother and his wife to stop by. Enjoying the day.

A big event for me. Weeding the garden and yard. Today is only in the 80s so the coolest this summer and am able to get out in the yard.

It’s “special” in the sense that we are camping to attend a non-labor day event.

Spending time with my son and his family. Having dinner cooked and eaten outside. Won’t be long before the snow flies in MT and that won’t be the thing to do.

I attended a big event — mowing along our driveway and my mother’s yard for 6 hours. Just one of the advantages of living on my parents’ farm. 😉
