Which season of the year is your favorite?

With autumn quickly approaching (can you believe it?) we wonder: Which season is your favorite?

Is the upcoming fall season your favorite? Colorful leaves, hot apple cider, cozy nights by the campfire…

Or is summer your favorite? Summer fruits and beach days abound!

Or winter? Do you love the snow? Perhaps you love to ski? Or maybe winter is your favorite season because you head south to find the sun!

Or what about beautiful spring, when the world seems to come alive again after a long, cold winter (well, depending on where you are, of course)? Those flowers sure are beautiful…

Because we live and travel most of the year in our RVs, we follow the weather. Our favorite season is winter in sunny Florida, spring and fall at home in the Tennessee Cumberland Plateau, and summer in the Adirondack mountains.

Spring. With the promise for the new year.

Years ago I would say Winter with all the outdoor activities. Fall is pretty but reminds me of death as it comes to a close before the first flakes arrive. Summer is summer but spring. But as I have gotten older I love Spring with all the beginning of new life, plants, leaves, flowers and new born animals. It’s all up lifting putting a smile on ones face.

We live in Florida where the seasons are mosquito, hurricane, tourist, pollen and hot and humid. That’s why we travel.

As a retired teacher, I have always loved summer – my time for relaxation and camping! I don’t mind heat, and I can’t enjoy fall for dreading what comes next!

As a scuba diver, you might think summer, but fall is my favorite. The bugs are gone, the kids are back in school, most of my pollen allergies are under control and actually after cooking all summer, the water below the surface is at its warmest

…”the kids are back in school”. This is precisely why we usually traveled in spring and fall while kids were still in school. We avoided traveling during summer and most holidays.

Winter…because I know Spring and Summer are coming soon.

I’m sort of torn on this question….spring? Or fall? Here in the Deep South, we don’t really have 4 seasons, At best we have 2: summer and winter. Spring here is short but absolutely beautiful. I love seeing the new leaves peeking out and the flush of flowers on fruiting trees. Temperatures in the summer are sometimes unbelievably hot and extremely humid. Autumn is longer but summer often infringes into the fall months making them hotter than you would expect. Still….autumn is at least a little cooler and our winters are usually fairly mild. Thus, I chose autumn.

I love the summer, Fall is beautiful, but it reminds me of the next season of Lake Effect Snow and high heating bills.

As I age, I find that all seasons are great. We need that change in seasons to remind us that time is precious and nature is a wonder.

Spring in the desert.

Keeping the old man out in ND/MN does not include shoveling snow and the possible spring floods from spring rain and snow melt. But, cold and shoveling also makes you shiver which helps circulation! Fall, while the trees are in full color are gorgeous – also drop those pretty leaves in the yard for clean-up raking! More exercise! And then, along comes summer (the furnace is shutdown!), and the beautiful warm evenings by a campfire with friends and a beer….! Alas, it is over all too soon – summer and in fact – life itself. (Oh! I forgot tornado season). Onward and upward…..

I suspect the answer would vary for most people on this poll depending upon the time of year you take it. After a long cold winter, many might say springs just like most of the nation experiencing a hotter than normal summer would make you more likely to say fall. I love the crispness of the morning air and the colors of the leaves in the fall. But I also used to say fall was my favorite for RVing because the kids were all back in school and there was a peaceful quiet settling over the campground. However, with the increased numbers of homeschooling that isn’t as true anymore.

My favorite season is winter because then I get to go to Florida and avoid the cold. 🙂

I used to like cold weather, but then the Navy started sending me to the Caribbean every winter and I lost my cold tolerance.

But you said, “I was only looking for a tree, but woods and forest is all I could see.” I guess it’ll work as long as it’s plural trees, and not just a specific tree. Yep, I have 18+ acres of trees at my gorgeous, undeveloped mountain property. We can play hide-and-seek among the trees–as long as we keep an eye out for the black bears and mountain lions that are generous enough to share their territory with me.😉 Take care, Kelly.🤗 –Diane

Thank you for the question, RV Travel! My favorite is fall. That is cross-country season in the U.S. It also is the first we can get into the woods and begin to clean up the fallen trees with comparatively less danger of encountering a rattlesnake or copperhead. For accomplishing work around the farm, winter is the best season because then the snakes are at least sluggish if not out-right hibernating. Then we can REALLY clean up, including the dead or diseased trees that we had taken down in late-fall or early-winter. Have a great day and safe travels!

Living in Florida my favorite season is getting out and not returning until it is cool enough to do so. Haven’t put a name to it yet

Since we have now chased the sun for 5 years, I couldn’t answer survey. Before living full time it would be spring and fall equally!
