Can you believe it’s already November 11th? For some of you, that date means you’re getting ready to head south for all of, or some of, the winter. Is that you? Maybe you’ve already begun your journey! Or, maybe you stay south year-round!
As the days grow shorter and the chill sets in, many RVers are dusting off their rigs, packing up their gear, and planning for warmer adventures ahead. The allure of sunny skies and mild temperatures draws thousands of travelers southward, making this time of year particularly exciting for those of us with a passion for the open road.
And for those who plan to stay put through the winter, there’s plenty of adventure to be had right where you are. From cozy nights in your rig to quiet mornings with a hot cup of coffee and frosted windows, winter camping has its own kind of magic.
So, will you go south in your RV this winter for at least two months? More than that? Less than that? If yes, will you share with us where you’re going? We’re curious to hear!
Wherever you spend the season, here’s to making the most of it.
Have fun and safe travels!

One month in Florida to visit family around Christmas. Down from 4 months over the last 5 years. Just too expensive now. We’re up north watching the snow fall. Many of our Canadian friends didn’t show up last year. We’re already planning an extended trip into eastern Canada this coming Spring.
Not this year, unfortunately, due to health issues. Hopefully next year.
Sorry for your health issues. We had to quit rving 8 years ago but I still support and read this newsletter every day. I hope you can get back on the road soon. 👍
Already here.
Any further South, I will need a boat.
We already live in the south. We will go north in the summer to escape the heat!
Nope. DW’s health has forced us to give it up.
Sorry to hear that Richard. I can relate only it was me who put the skids to our traveling. I hope DW gets better soon.
Nope, Motor Home is in the Barn for the Winter.
Not this year. I had five months booked in Palm Springs, but as a Canadian, I will travel elsewhere this winter.
Si.🌮🌮🌮
I live full time down here, in bricks and sticks casa
Yes, but split in half. Week before Thanksgiving to mid-December in Las Vegas, CA desert, NM, and back to CO for Christmas. Then mid-Jan.-Feb. south of I-10 in AZ and NM, ending with a brief stay in the Texas Panhandle visiting siblings. A little different than past snowbirding because one son now lives in Las Vegas and one in Denver. Although we will pass through Quartzsite in Dec., we have no plans tp stay thete.
Already in southwest Arizona and staying for 5 months. Don’t like shivering and shoveling, and hoping we can be snowbirds for several more years.
The survey should have asked if you are going south with or without your RV.
Im headed to Arizona for 6 months but not with my RV. I have a Park Model there.
West Coast Florida is as far south as I want to go, in the Summer we go where it’s not hot and humid.
If we go any further south we’ll be in Mexico. Arizona is great this time of year.
We head for Mississippi & the Florida Panhandle. I always say that we’re seeking spring, not summer. It’s already been snowing here.
No, but I sure as heck wish I was.
Yes, Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort. Actually stayed at your cover photo RV park in Beverly Beach Florida, Beverly Beach Camptown RV Resort.
I loved going south for 3 months during the winter. But since my husband passed in 2017, I have not done so. I still take out the trailer closer to home during the spring and fall.
Where’s “Maybe” in the choices?
Nope. Staying put this winter to spend the holidays with our children and grand children. So will be pulling out the winter wear.
We have been going to Mobile Alabama for February and March to get away from Wisconsin winter for the past 8 years. We have upgraded from travel trailer to motorhome this year. We can’t wait for the extended stay in our new rig.
Sorry . Sadly this 20+ year Canadian couple is not travelling south. I will not expand on the reasons why, but we will truly miss the good friends we’ve made . And the warmer weather!
We actually live in Florida.
We usually go west along the Gulf
