How often do you buy a coffee out at a cafe, drive-through, etc.?

Do you find yourself stopping for a coffee while you’re out and about, or do you almost always make it at home?

For some people, grabbing a coffee from a café or drive-through is part of the daily routine. Others only splurge on one during a road trip, while traveling in their RV, or when meeting up with friends.

And plenty of folks skip the coffee shops altogether—they’d rather brew a cup at home and save a few bucks.

Coffee prices have certainly climbed over the past few years, making those specialty drinks feel more like an occasional treat than an everyday habit. Then again, for many people, the convenience (or the caffeine!) is worth every penny.

Whether it’s a simple black coffee from a gas station, a latte from your favorite local café, or a stop at the drive-through before your day begins, we’re curious how often you buy one.

So tell us… How often do you buy a coffee out at a café, drive-through, or somewhere similar?

After you vote, please leave a comment and tell us where you usually get your coffee—or why you prefer making it yourself. Thanks!

I may buy coffee at the first gas stop of the day, but never at a drive thru.

About the only time we buy coffee out is if and when we stop for breakfast. Or if the campground has it in the morning.
I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve stopped at one of the big $$$$ coffee chains. $5-$8 for a cup is insane.

Most places don’t have decent coffee and it is over-priced. McDonald’s for the Senior Citizen coffee and clean bathrooms is a travel day option. Kwik Trip-Kwik Star has clean bathrooms and coffee choice options. Otherwise, we brew 8 O’Clock brand coffee, put extra in a thermos for the p.m. coffee break. Much better coffee at a frugal price. Wife says many of the other coffee places’ restrooms are pig pens. (Bring your own toilet paper, too.)

I can’t remember when I last bought coffee at a drive through. I know we have stoped a few times when leaving very early in the morning and went through a drive through for a breakfast sandwich, that’s only been a couple of times. We usually make a thermos of coffee before leaving.

My wife makes coffee every morning at home and if stationary, in our MH. On travel days, it’s (in order) Wawa; Buc-ees; or Loves. At home, whether in Fl or PA, it’s Wawa everyday. Gotta have a WAWA!

Never, I can’t stand coffee. Wife will order maybe once a year. Normally we drink water when we eat out. Her with ice and me without.
