We’re constantly testing RVtravel.com and making sure everything is running smoothly and looks good. We want you to enjoy spending time on our website! While comparing our desktop (computer) and mobile (phone and tablet) versions, we noticed our desktop site just… well… it just looks nicer! Things work a little better on it, we’re able to display more content… it’s just better!
But then we got to thinking. We wonder how many of our readers (that’s you!) even own a computer (desktop or laptop).
Mobile devices are incredibly convenient—easy to grab, scroll, and use just about anywhere. But as websites get more complex, with more stories, photos, videos, and navigation features, sometimes mobile just can’t keep up. On a larger screen, everything has a little more room to breathe. You might even discover features or links you’ve missed before.
We’ve also noticed that articles on our desktop site tend to load faster and more consistently, especially in areas with spotty cell service or slower mobile internet. So if you’re dealing with a sluggish phone connection, it might be worth giving the desktop version a try—especially if you’re settled in at a campground or relaxing at home with a cup of coffee.
So, do you own a desktop or laptop computer? Tell us in the poll below. And if you do have a computer, if it’s possible, we suggest you read our newsletters on it. It will look better! But not a big deal if you like reading on your phone. It works too. 🙂
Thank you!
