I normally do not do product reviews here in the group; however, Chuck Woodbury has asked me to share my story regarding Battle Born Batteries (BB).
I purchased two of their 100Ah batteries in 2015 for my Lance truck camper. Since I don’t do a whole lot of boondocking, these batteries had very little full cycles for the 9+ years that I owned them. Last year, I put my camper into long-term storage and forgot to disconnect the batteries.
Recently, I decided to sell the camper and needed to get everything up and running for the new owner. I discovered the batteries had zero volts and figured the BMS had shut down due to low voltage. No matter what I tried, I could not get the BMS to awaken. After a call to BB, they asked me to send them the batteries and they would see if they could get them to work.
A week or so later, I received an email from Battle Born Batteries advising me that my batteries were “unrepairable” and they would be sending me two new batteries, as mine were still under warranty. I received the new batteries yesterday, hooked them up and everything worked seamlessly.
In summary, I can say Battle Born has second-to-none customer service and stands by its products. I can’t think of any other battery manufacturer that has a 10-year, no-questions-asked warranty. —Mike Zimmerman

Sounds like you spent four to five times as much for an extended warranty. Li Time with proper maintenance is working for me.
I was thinking the same. I’ve got a pair of ADCBatt batteries that cost much less and have yet to task me to test their ten year warranty.
It’s cool Battle Born is well versed in replacing defective product but that too kinda says something…..
That said, I bought a 2006 Dodge ram 3500 dually new and paid an extra $1,000 for an extended warranty at the dealership. Paid for itself four times over on those s***** Dodge transmissions.
I had a similar experience. I bought 2 100 amp hour batteries for my travel trailer in 2019. A year later (all was working good) I hooked up a 1500 amp inverter to run the microwave. I pressed start on the microwave and both batteries “died”. I contacted Battleborn and they had me ship the batteries back… and immediately replaced them for free. I bought 2 more (total 4 now) and have been enjoying 400 amp hours since. New trailer in 2023 came with a 3000 watt inverter and the batteries power it up just fine. Customer service was amazing with Battleborn.
I had a similar experience with Expion 360 lithium batteries. My recently new Host truck camper came with 2 of Expion’s 360 AH “cube” lithium batteries that cost $4,000 each. After a year, I sensed something wasn’t right with the batteries. They were working, but seemed to be discharging too quickly & then started shutting down at 50% state of charge. I called Expion & they immediately had me return them free of charge & tested them. One was discharging way too fast & the other was very close to normal. But since they were replacing one, they replaced both (an $8,000 warranty replacement). The c/s & communication was superb.
Thank you, Mike, RV Travel, and Chuck! That is quite a commendable reaction by Battle Born. Wow! 🙂 I certainly will remember this when it is time to replace our house batteries; thanks again! 🙂 Safe travels!
No better customer service… anywhere! They have literally spent hours on the phone with me, helping design (and program) the system I installed on my trailer last summer.
I bought a used 2020 travel trailer that came with a BattleBorn 100AHr battery and 170w solar. It is three years old and has died. Since I am not the original owner, BattleBorn told me to pound sand. I thought they might want to keep me as a customer, but no. Not even an offer of 5% off or anything. If BattleBorn can’t make a battery that stands up to real world conditions, who can? I am replacing it with two 100AH Walmart EverStart Maxx deep cycle RV batteries in parallel. $120 each. If they only last 3 years, then after 9 years I will have only spent $720 for three sets of batteries. If anything goes wrong with your Battleborn battery that is NOT warrantied, you lose your $925 investment.
